First AP pics
Before I knew anything about AP, saw these on a forum and was taken by how amazing the watch looked and started learning about AP...not sure if they are anybody's watch on this forum, if they are... to u...I thought I post them since I rarely see any post on 'em...
Matt aka mdgrwl is a great seller!
Happy to be the owner of a new skyfall aqua terra. Transaction was flawless and smooth. Watch came as described on the post. It was shipped overnight once funds was secured. Clear communication and took time to address all my concerns. I would highly recommend him. Thanks!
What is this Omega? Is it worth servicing?
So my mom was cleaning out her cupboards and she stumbled upon this vintage Omega that she got from her boss a long time ago when she started working. I have the box and all paperwork including the original purchase receipt, date of purchase, serial number, etc.I couldn't find any markers on the underside of the watch, but the receipt is dated November 20, 1977. The gold strap that the watch is on right now isn't original, but I have the original leather strap as well also in mint condition (pictured). Is it worth restoring? The watch is in pretty much mint condition since my mom has never worn it for the past 30+ years. However due to its age it obviously would need some servicing.Any insight into what it actually is would be really helpful!
Omega Newbie Needs Assistance
So I've always been the Rolex guy and have been looking seriously at an AT 8500 with the blue dial. Saw it tonight and man is it pretty. Ive been told Omega had some quality issues sometime ago but now the 8500 in house is well done. I know this is 100% subjective but how does the 8500 movement compare to a similar Rolex movement which in this case would be a sub I think.
