Omega Speedmaster White Side Of The Moon Watch
2015 is certainly the year of the ceramic Speedmaster at Omega - and we aren't complaining. This bright, white little number is the new Omega Speedmaster White Side Of The Moon. In 2013, Omega released the Omega Speedmaster Dark Side Of The Moon (watches-dealer review here) that was a surprise (and enduring) hit that put the newer Omega Speedmaster Co-Axial Chronograph watch with the in-house made 9300 movement in an all black ceramic case. The Omega Dark Side Of The Moon was sporty, stealthy, and very sexy - quickly becoming "the" Omega to have, even for people who were not traditionally Omega fans.So what was Omega going to do with this success? Look to more sides of the moon, of course. Last year in 2014, Omega released the plasma-gray ceramic version of the Speedmaster with the Omega Speedmaster Gray Side Of The Moon (hands-on here). Introducing: The Villeret Tourbillon Bi-Cylindrique 110 Years Anniversary Limited Edition, A Surprisingly Ornate Watch From Montblanc
Montblanc has just decided to surprise us with an anniversary piece that is, much, much more baroque than what we’re accustomed to seeing lately from the Villeret-based manufacture. This year’s collection, presented during SIHH, reaffirmed Montblanc’s commitment to high-end watches with classic features such as the Heritage Chronométrie Annual Calendar Chronograph and the 4810 Day-Date. That is, until its latest addition to the 2016 lineup. The Villeret Tourbillon Bi-Cylindrique 110 Years Anniversary is a watch you’d expect from the likes of Richard Mille, and other independent names that are not bound by traditionalism or corporate behavior. But the slithering serpent sneaking inside its dial is not just there to provide a visual thrill or to provoke. 1 OF 2 Circa 1920, a "Rouge et Noir" fountain pen. It is a nod to the maison’s first fountain pen series, the famous “Rouge et Noir” collection, introduced in 1909. In fa
Picked Up A Globemaster
This was very spontaneous. I just went in to say hello and see the new PO's, which are sadly just too big a bulky imho. They are beautiful, for sure. But not what I personally look for anymore. I miss the old 2500 models. Anyway, I had tried on the sample Globemaster annual calendar during an Omega event and loved the feel. I was a little put off by the price and the month with no day. It just seemed weird. Anyway, fast forward to yesterday and I saw this for the first time and fell in love. It's super comfortable. Excellently proportioned. Has a vintage style, but a completely modern feel. I tend to shy away from butterfly clasps, but this bracelet and clasp are very comfortable. It also has great lume and a 10 BAR rating. This one was a, had to have.
