4 years of AP ownership
A look back at AP 4 years back, I treated my self to the ROO RC 4 years ago and never looked back. What I noticed is that the brand wasn't as popular as it is today locally speaking when compared to Rolex, Chopard and Cartier which are dime a dozen here.My BumbleBee is the current holygrail of my watch collection today, it's a truly spectacular piece and I try to wear it as much as I can. I love the brand and I feel I'm stuck in this watch craze for many years to come. To me the BumbleBee will always be the mostly tastefully done special AP because it's 1) Lightweight2) Ceramic Bezel3) Tastefully done yellow highlights3) Carbon 4) Hornback5) Overall Decoration.6) Size 42mmThese criteria's made me get it without no hesitation. In regards to my 42mm ROO RC its like the GMT2 Pepsi of the AP world in my perspective. A discontinued model that really has kept it's appeal for many years and I will never replace this watch because it has a special meaning to me and it's my first AP which I got
Pp5960-01g-001
My AD received several new pieces and one that really caught my eye is the 5960/01G. The blue dial, red hand accents along with the brown strap gave it a very sharp but casual look (which I like and looking for). Why isn't though that there is not much love for the 5960 in general? Is it the production run time, combination with the AC complication, price point (I am not overly concerned about resale value) or other options that may be available with a chrono complication? I am seriously debating whether to look into this further and adding it to accompany my AP chronos or selling one/both and just have the PP as my chrono complication in my collection. Any insight would be appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Aquanaut strap in winter?
Enjoying a new 5167R this summer, which goes on every weekend. Wondering about the rubber (excuse me, composite) strap in cold weather. Does it get less comfortable? Traditionally have worn a leather strap IWC chrono classic on weekends in winter but wondering if the 5167R is ok year-round.
Sneak Peek
Should be here by the end of the week.
My new Rolex Sub has fine scratches on crystal..any advice?
Hello guys.I need you guys advice.I just bought a brand new Rolex Sub no date two days ago from my local Rolex AD. However, what I have found is there are so many fine tiny hairline scratches on the crystal. The scratches are only visible when the sunlight is directly at certain angle. I never scrub or bang the crystal. This Sub is my third Rolex but the two old my Rolex watches (2013 Sub no-date and 2015 Sub date) had the same issue. I thought I made the scratches by some reasons due to I owned them a few years. But now I certainly realized it was not me.Like I said, it is very clean and clear in normal but when the sunlight or bright lights at certain angle, the fine scratches will be shown. I have a few Panerai, Tudor, and Omega watches but I will definitely say they don't have any kind of the fine hairline scratches on the crystal. I have checked all of them with the same angle under the sunlight that I did on my Rolex. Is the hairline fine scratches on the crystal common thing on
