Thoughts re: the White Ceramic Diver
Hi All,I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. I'm a longtime AP fan. I currently own a Rubberclad and a 15400. I want to add a diver. The steel and the black ceramic are discussed here often. I was wondering if anyone here owns the white version? I know people say it looks like a G-Shock. (I have a white G-Shock and wear it often). I thought it was good looking, but just OK until I saw it in person. Then I was smitten... The finish is amazing.I welcome any thoughts or opinions. And any wrist shots would be much appreciated.Thank you!Best wishes,Dave
Chronomat (Forgot I had it!)
Just came across this Breitling, in the back of the safe, which I haven't seen in years! I recall that I purchased it new (on a whim) around 1994/1995, while in Canada.Fast forward to today, when again, I came across it in the safe. My wife spotted it, and now wants to wear it, so I wound it up, set it, and on her wrist it sits! Any information about this would be greatly appreciated. What's the story with the crown looking to be steel, while the pushers look to be gold?Where would I look for a Breitling replacement leather strap, and what should I look to pay? Finally, what would have been the time appropriate bracelet for this watch, and again, where would I look to purchase one, and what would I expect to pay. Many thanks,Nathan(pics are with the watch on my wrist, the back of the watch showing the Model #, and now (forever??) on my wife's)
Help Panerai newbie with model selection
Ok I am looking for a watch that I can jump in my pool with and not worry too much about it.The model I am looking at is like this watch .ebay/itm/Panerai-Lumi...item43cbee034aOk so can someone explain this model to me. What I mean is Panerai has so many models your head can spin. 120 means?? Good inner workings??Basically if you can tell me if this model is worthwhile or to look at something else. I don't want to wind up with the Panerai that nobody wants, thinking of resale. How would the 40mm wear compare to say a Sub?I appreciate the help! Thanks
16520 Dial - Help needed
Question to the specialists, does the 16520 MK3 '91-'93 have also a champaign color dial?Or was it only with the 16528?Thanks for helping
A special one for my 5000th post!
I've been planning this for a while and actually had to refrain from posting for the last couple of weeks, so I wouldn't go over the mark After spending years with the sports models exclusively, this one feels... special. That is the first word which came to my mind when putting it on for the first time. It gives off a very distinct feeling from, say, a 619 - which is amazing in a different kind of way, as the 619 is robust and sporty to the core. This one feels like it would also take anything you can throw at it, but with an elegance that few others possess. As for the 5k posts, my sincere thanks to the TRF family - Steve, moderators, forum sponsors and, especially, all the friends that I have had the privilege to make over the years. This is a truly unique community.
