A new Speedmaster!
I stopped by the Omega boutique in L.A. last week...and got into a nice discussion of the Speedmaster Professional with the staff. I've been a fan of that watch since I was nine--back in early 1974, when my father bought one and explained its significance in the Apollo missions. The reason I was at the boutique was to pick up that very watch, now sporting a black leather strap, a change up from the original bracelet. The technician brought out a brand new Speedmaster. Not the Professional, but the 2012 reissue of the First Omega in Space. Slightly smaller. Lemania movement. Manual wind. Brown leather strap. Sapphire crystal, a nod to the present technology. I tried it on. Perfect fit! The Professional is just a little bit on the large size for me. Certainly wearable, but not ideal. This Speedmaster, though, seemed made for me!No discounts at a boutique, but they did sweeten the deal with a few incentives, including full service in my old Speedmaster Professional with no charge. Patek 5712 and power reserve
Have a question in regards to power reserve on 5712. I know official site says that power reserve is 48 hours but was curious how much longer beyond 48 hours and if the watch would start running slower I took my watch off on Friday around 3 pm and put it on on Sunday around 7. So watch was off my wrist about 52 hours, and when I put it on I saw power reserve indicator was on the red but not fully out. I did not pay attention to see if the watch was running or not, but I immidiately wound it a little since the indicator was on low and bottom of the red markings. Later I noticed that it was an hour off. Being off exactly an hour (plus/minus few minutes) I didn't notice that the hour hand was off originally when I put the watch on.So wanted to know if it's possible for the watch to start running slower or stop while power reserve indicator is not all the way on empty? As I mentioned above, watch was off the wrist for about 52 hours. Thanks and have a great week everyone!

would you flip for AP 15400
I am considering flipping my PAM 572 for an Audemars Piguet 15400st white dial.I find the white dial mesmerizing although I had a ROO 26470st which I wasn't crazy about and traded away. What are your thoughts, would you flip ?
