Learning Digital Illustration With Watches: Interview With Wrist.im Founder
By day, Matt Johnston is a web designer and developer, and as a hobby, he digitally illustrates wrist watches on his website Wrist.im. About a year ago, Matt decided he needed to learn more sophisticated digital illustration, and to do so, he decided to create digital illustrations of some of the watches that he personally owned.Matt explains that he was fascinated by the "user interface" of watches and the challenge of indicating the time in a clear, yet interesting manner. Johnston's first project was to illustrate his simple Timex Weekender. Over time, Johnston has created a small collection of wrist watch illustrations, many of which include code that allows them to indicate the time in your web browser. What I found so interesting about the Wrist.im project is the focus on watches that many seasoned watch lovers might consider basic or pedestrian. Perhaps Johnston's most moving work is the digital recreation of a simple and timeless (and quite retro by today's standards) Casio F-91
New AP Inbound!
After drooling over this model for a few years, I was approached by a friend with an incredible deal that I could not say no to. While this is one of the models that people either love or hate, I truly like its understated characteristics and like the fact that in the event that the bezel gets beat up, I can upgrade to a ceramic one and give it a brand new look! That line probably let the cat out of the bag but I will let the pictures do the talking. I am one HAPPY CAMPER!!! WTF no watch? Feels so good on the wrist. Thanks for sharing this exciting moment with me!
My third AP is an Annual Calendar
After a very good season, I awarded myself with a new AP! It's not new, but very nicely used, and I love it! It's an Royal Oak Annual Calendar. 25920ST. Perfect size too! I like the new beefier AP's, but these oldies but goodies aren't bad either!

Pan 00673
Hi all,Not seen much posted online about the Panerai 673 so thought I'd put a few pics of mine on for anyone who's interested.Basically a limited edition (1000pieces) based around the 372.Same 47mm case as the 372 but with a few alterations. Main differences as far as I can see are as follows - 'Marina Militare' on the dial as opposed to 'Luminor Panerai'different hands - slightly longer with 'pencil tips'altered P3000 movement with split bridge detailgorgeous 'Ponte Vecchio' calf leather strap that photos really don't do justice to! And that's about it really!Anyway, a few photos of the watch...RegardsMax
