Reborn Halda Watch Co. to Send Timepiece Into Space
Swedish manufacturer Halda Watch Co. has announced that ESA astronaut Christer Fuglesang will wear a new watch called the Halda Space Discovery during a trip aboard the shuttle Discovery, currently scheduled to launch on August 28. The watch was developed with Fuglesang to meet an astronaut’s requirements, and the trip into space is part of the development process. The watch – to be produced in a limited edition of 128 pieces – will go on sale in December. The Halda Space Discovery consists of a “time platform” with two replaceable time modules: an advanced electronic module, and a module with a high beat mechanical movement modernized by renowned watchmaker Svend Andersen. The electronic time module provides functions such as a 3�\axis accelerometer, a particle counter, UTC/MET alarms, and an Earth Timer. My wife and spent the day at Clarkson Jewelers, our local Rolex AD. They had a Holiday Open House all weekend. I don't think that many people knew they were open on Sunday. We had the run of the store for the majority of +2 hours. We got to try on just about every watch they had. Then my wife spots a Yatchmaster, about the same I spotted this Transocean GMT. And now we have two new watches.We didn't take pictures of all the watches we tried on but I included the ones we did try.And the chrono I REALLY wanted!

Vintage Bracelet ��- Gen or Fake
I'm looking to buy a bracelet on eBay. With the watch itself I can take the back off to see for myself if the watch is genuine but with a bracelet, I can't tell fake from gen. Is my best bet to take the bracelet to an AD and if I do what is the consensus as to whether these guys can tell a fake bracelet from a genuine bracelet?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
