Frank Lampard Patek WIS
Looks like Frank was wearing a 5204P for his big day and a 5070P on the day before. What a perfect combo of watches - big respect!.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...s-wedding.htmlHis cousin Jamie Redknapp is also a WIS who I believe also collects PP's.
Patek Perpetuals ?
I have never been able to find a patek perpetual that I like because I really enjoy the seconds hand and do not like the retrograde date feature. Additionally, I do not prefer the manual wound chronograph perpetuals. That basically leaves me with no options.I used to have a 5059 and decided it was not for me. Please don't get me wrong ALL of the perpetuals are amazing. I know there are perpetuals/minute repeaters and rare vintages that have second hands but they are out of my budget. I have been using the annual calendar watches. I have 5 annual calendars (5960, 5726, 5036, 5056, 5125) now that I keep on winders. I look forward to changing the date every FEB-MAR but there is something very special about a perpetual calendar. Anyone have any similar perspectives regarding basic patek perpetuals?
Broken Crown Mechanism?? PAM 112
Hi guys, I have a PAM 112 M-series which is about 7/8 years old. No issues, never serviced. I grabbed it yesterday to wear it out and when I start winding it up I noticed that the normal crown winding resistance seemed a lot less than normal. It would just wind and wind and wind but would not start the movement ticking. Obviously I need to take it in to a watchmaker for repair, but I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on what the issue may be (main spring?) and what a repair 'should' cost so that I can have a relatively educated conversation with whoever I decide to service it for me. Also, I'm in Chicago (Bucktown), and would love any repair shop recommendations that you guys have. I recently purchased a GMT Batman from CD Peacock in Skokie so I might try to leverage that relationship for this repair. Thanks!
How LONG do you take to THINK before buying?
Hello TRF,My question is a simple one. How long does it take for you to go from the whole process of liking a watch, thinking/research, googling pics on google images, YOUTUBE reviews, etc to FINALLY COUGHING UP THE $$$$ and get that INCOOMMMINNNNG??My experience has been roughly 3-36 months cheers, taco
