Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph Ref. 5980 Watch
New Patek Philippe watches for 2010 didn't exactly make me jump for joy, but I did like the two new additions to the Nautilus collection. No new movements, but new implementations in the Nautilus cases. Here is the Nautilus Chronograph (ref. 5980 in steel and 5980R in gold), and I also liked the Nautilus Annual Calendar Ref. 5726 that I wrote about here. What I like about the layout of the Patek Philippe Caliber CH 280520 C is that is it is a 12 hour chronograph that looks like a watch with only a subsidiary seconds dial (more or less) - and is still easy to read. Pretty nice looking addition to Patek's sport watch collection.See my article on the Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph watch on AskMenwatches-dealer here.See Patek Philippe watches on eBay here.See Patek Philippe watches on Amazon here. Your general perception of the offshore line?
Rolex Forums tells me I have been on a 4 year 2 month hiatus (!) but god knows how much longer it could have been had it not been for this gem of a purchase.I've always been interested in AP as a brand and their legacy, and further research inevitably brought up the infamy of the Royal Oak Offshore as a celebrity watch, to be used as a mere party piece more than anything else. Personally the offshore line does have quite a number of over-the-top limited edition models, but the 'standard' 44mm designs (SS, CF, RG) seem to blend sportiness with elegance perfectly fine. I'd buy a 42mm but the arabic numerals on the chronographs just seemed too messy; the diver being an exception. It sounds very much like a horological spin-off of the Bentley Continental's appeal with the rich and famous, but the Bentley ain't a bad car at all. Does the ROO deserve such stick, especially when compared with the other classic models in the range, as well as other luxury sports watches?Otherwise you could give
Speedy losing time
I've proudly worn my 3570.50 almost daily since I purchased it new in January and I love it. I wind it every morning, but the darned thing loses about 15-20 sec/day. I realize there is a reason this watch doesn't carry COSC certification, but geez... My Zenith Daytona and GMT-C stay within about 3 sec/day and I'm used to that level of accuracy. How accurate are your 1863 movements? Do I need to prepare for separation anxiety and a long trip to Omega Service, or is that just the way it is?____________________________ TT OysterQuartz SS/Black U Daytona TT GMT II-C DD OysterQuartz Brietling Aero Omega Speedmaster Pro
Did the 1500 SS ate come w/ a jubilee?
And from majority of the pictures I've been finding online and the little info about the watches bracelet I have found.I'm wondering if this came w/ a jubilee or was this is a bracelet that was added.Thank you
Rolex for the active individual?
Hi TRF, first post here! I֪ looking to pick up a new (to me) Rolex. I have a 6542 that my dad dad gifted to him when he graduated from the Air Force and I have an AP 15202. Both watches I feel are too fragile for what I want and neither do I wear all day every day. I purchased an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean back in 09 as my first, nice watch and Ie thrown everything at it: surfing, snowboarding, dirt bike rides, backpacking, etc. and the watch still looks great and keeps great time without a service. However, I֪ looking to upgrade the Omega to a Rolex.I֪ familiar with the tried and tested criteria Rolex watches go through, but I֪ curious when they started testing the watches beyond the limits the watches would ever see. Ie narrowed my choices down to a Submariner or a Sea Dweller (40mm). I֪ looking for this new watch go go everywhere with me to get knocked around and build its own character. How far back I should narrow my selection to, knowing the watch has gone through the gamut
