Interesting Interview with Thierry Stern
I have been saving for my first Patek, and expect to buy around April. So reading the threads today about price increases caused me to do more research, and I stumbled onto this interview with Thierry Stern. He discloses annual production numbers, talks about AD networks and new markets. If it is a repost, my apologies.luxurysociety/articles/20...patek-philippe
Panerai Sistemi - Calzoni Panerai - The Panerai with the brightest light factor
Hi,you all know that Panerai has developed products for the military, primarily light system under water light, etc. .. and has this and also produced until 1997, until Richmont or the Vendome Luxury Group has bought the watch part of Officine Panerai. The rest was renamed in Panerai Sistemi. In 1999 then the company Calzoni which has military matters, developed for the water, bought the Panerai Sistemi..paneraisistemi/.calzoni/company/historyAlso, there was recently a somewhat detailed thread on paneristi which has shown in more detail the military lighting systems from Panerai. Should I sell my D-Blue?
This is just something I've been thinking about. I love the watch and it fits my wrist great, and love the heft so that's not the problem at all. Let's just say the tax man just took a hefty bite. I don't NEED to sell it, but I'm saving toward some major goals, and I haven't reached those yet. I didn't buy this for any special reason, except I wanted it. I have other nice dive watches. (Hulk, Superocean) Since the 116660 D-Blue was only a three year run, will it be dumb to let it go?? I could always replace later with a 126660 D-Blue? Just looking for thoughts if this would be something I regret. FYI I've never sold a watch before, so just a little gun shy. Pics for science.
