Eterna Super KonTiki Watches For 2015
Eterna seems to have realized that the Super KonTiki watch is a valuable "character" in the brand's DNA and is bringing the famed dive watch back in a strong way for 2015. So for Baselworld 2015, Eterna will be releasing a new Eterna Super KonTiki watch collection in a few colors, and at a relatively decent price. The collection appears durable and attractive, without too much fluff to dissuade purists from being excited about it. Eterna actually has not revealed a comprehensive list of tech specs, so we don't know certain details such as the bezel material, though, I did learn that the water resistance of the case is 200 meters. When we last visited the Eterna Super KonTiki, it was back in 2010, when Eterna (which was a very different company back then) released the limited edition Super KonTiki 1973 (hands-on here). That was a lovely watch, and while the 2015 Super KonTiki is distinct in style and design, it maintains a lot of the same DNA that makes it a real "Super KonTiki."Fashiona
Ronin Rotomatic Hands-On
Ronin Watches ?appeared on the ?scene a year ago with their first model, the Ronin Pilot. Owner Phil started the brand after lusting after more expensive pilot watches. Finding them to be too pricey, he founded Ronin Watches with the motto "quality watches at prices that make sense." His goal was to make watches people wanted out of quality materials yet keep the cost down so that they were affordable. So far the brand has offered two models that fit into that mission statement. The Ronin Pilot?fit that philosophy very well: priced at $265 the watch had a hand-wind Asian movement, sapphire crystal, a well built case offered in 44m or 47mm, and good luminescence as well. Their follow-up model, also in the pilot’s watch style, was the Rotomatic. A smaller watch at 42mm with a simpler, cleaner design, the Rotomatic was limited to 60 pieces, each one hand inspected before delivery. Although now sold out, the Rotomatic is a solid enough piece to garner a further look.Ronin Rotomatic Ha
What do you think of the condition of this Royal Oak dial?
I've noticed a listing for a 1995 Royal Oak with box & papers, but the waffle looks kinda... off to me? I'm not sure if it's just a bad quality picture or if I'm imagining things. What do you guys think?i.imgur/h1RMQY8.jpg
Conversion from hoarding all brands to Patek
Some might know me from here or other forum but at the end my landmark its been impulsive buying until now. It might be interesting for some and it might be boring for others but here it is. I always say Ignorance is a bliss and it reflects in various situations in life but in watches is even more evident. I went crazy and bought as many iconic watches from different as I could, but soon enough I discovered a few of things:1) The week has 7 days, and to truly enjoy your watches is better to have 3-4 watches that you truly love than 20 watches (sorry 19). Because of those many watches you will wear your favorites little or you end up not wearing a lot of them.2) As much as I want them to be all keepers, I flip them and when you flip you loose $$$$$. Isn't better to enjoy them and loose as little as possible ? hell yeah!! whats the Formula : Patek and Rolex. Yes that's the prescription my doc gave me Of course we are allow to deviate a little bit from that prescription: AP and Lange wou
Black dial sky dweller
Curious if the new sky dweller black is the same chocolatey color the DJ 41s are? I much prefer the more jet black . Already have the blue sky dweller and cannot decide between the white or the black. I'm leaning towards the black since I already have a DJ two white dial. But definitely do not want it if it is not a true black. Would appreciate clarification. Cheers!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
