First Post, First AP!
Hey All,I took the plunge and am getting my first AP. I am too excited to be obtaining one of my dream watches so early in collecting. I fell in love with the Offshore the first time I saw a relative's rg offshore. Look forward to updating this thread in the future , but for now you guys can guess what I am cutting my teeth with! For a clue, my current collection in order of purchase includes a Super Ocean Heritage (Limited Green edition), Ball Engineer II (Arabic), and datejust 36m
Why did such mania set in?
I have been a PP and Nautilus fan for a long long time. During many periods you could not give these things away. I have noticed that in the last 2-5 months that prices for certain things have just exploded. Just about every Nautilus s now hard to get and the same thing has happened with several Rolex sports models. You can't get a new Sea Dweller or Sky Dweller and Daytonas have gone back to their original scarcity as opposed to being the easiest hardest watch to get. A 5711 or 5712 is now like asking a dealer for a Daytona regardless of price. I actually talked to a watch sure owner yesterday who said I just won't deal in them anymore because it makes everyone unhappy. What the hell is going on??
Pam 233 vs. 111 in terms of comfort?
Hey guys, can you please tell me the difference in feel on the wrist between the 233 and 111? I tried the 111 of a co-worker and it was big (17 cm wirst) but not uncomfortable.I know that these 2 models do have 2 different kind of cases, so my question:Is the 233 more or less comfortable to wear than the 111?I would absolutely appreciate comparison pics of the 2 models as i am not able to find comparison pics...Thanks a lot!
Would you pay over MSRP...?
Hey guys,Obviously, there is a huge shortage of Rolex watches with huge waiting lists for the Daytona and now the new PepsiC SS. With these huge waiting lists, I'm curious to know how many of you are willing to pay over MSRP for these watches via a grey market dealer? and if so how much over MSRP?
