This is a wonderful question, that deserves a careful response.Before we can talk about the natural escapement, let's get on the same page about what an escapement does. In a mechanical wristwatch, an escapement translates rotational energy into lateral impulses that is, it turns the rotating of gears into the back-and-forth movement of the balance wheel.  There are lots of different types of escapements, but the most popular (by far) is the lever escapement. The lever escapement gives the balance wheel a push in each direction, causing it to oscillate until the watch runs out of power. ROC - 41mm black dial or 39mm Panda?
Going to pick up my very first AP and narrowed it down to the ROC 39mm Panda or 41mm black dial. The panda dial certainly jumps out but I tried a 39mm and it feels a little small. The 41mm feels just right but the dial color is just that little bit staid. What do you guys think?

This beautiful Omega Chronograph Olympic Edition London 1948 just showed up via DHL from the folks at Fellows Auction House. Now I just have to track down a manuel as it came with international warranty card. Auction said it came with papers, just card came with it, no papers. BNIB Omega PO Ti 45.5 wrong bracelet
image.jpgSo if you notice, the end link does not sit flush with the case. I thought this wasn't normal so I looked up the bracelet number on my watch and it read '1591/831' which is the bracelet for the Planet Ocean Titanium Chronograph. My new watch is just the standard Titanium XL. I called my jeweler and he could not believe it and thought I must be confused. I called an Omega boutique and they said they have never heard of a watch being matched up with the wrong bracelet.But sure enough it was a factory error. I took the watch back to the dealer today and he pulled out 2 other factory sealed similar models and both read '1590/867' on the bracelet which matches up to the PO Ti XL.Has anyone ever seen a factory error like this before?
