Speedy Broad Arrow.........3551.20.00
Looking to buy one of these pre-loved. Anyone have any comments on this watch? I have done my research and this is the best one for me at the price I am willing to spend. Rolex Daytona would be great but just isn't in the budget. I basically narrowed it down to Tudor and Omega. Omega wins out because for my taste I think the white dial broad arrow is so stunning. Would love to hear thoughts on this watch (plus and minuses) from any owners. Thanks in advance.
Gondolo
Dear Patek Lovers and friends. I need your advice as I am about to pull the trigger but was presented with another option I was not sure was going to be available for a very long time. This is really a battle of tastes and what would be the smart choice. In my collection I am blessed with RO, ROC, ROO, JA, MILLENARY, 5761, 5711 AND 5712. Many of these watches are sports watches but also work with suits etc. Lately I was bitten by the vintage bug and decided to explore vintage/not so common pieces to satisfy my old soul. I am really tempted to get the PP GONDOLO and was ready to pull the trigger for 22k with an additional black alligator strap (included in the price). I was sitting with my AD ready to close the deal when he said: Look what I just gotWell, he takes out a grey 5980 with a 41k price tag. No tax by the way in any of these pieces. So.... guys... what would you do? I feel I have many sport watches and the Gondolo seduced me with its deco design and would be a vintage piece (
BLNR - Waiting list - did I just get lucky?
So I went to my local AD a month ago to add me to the BLNR list and they estimated a 6 month waiting time. Being impatient and all, contacted another 2 AD dealers fairly local and added me to their lists too, this was Friday afternoon. So I was somewhat surprised to get the call Saturday morning from one of the dealers I contacted only the day before to say one had become available and I was next on the list!?Just thinking could they have mistakenly added me to the top of the list, either way I kept my mouth shut and went along to pick my new piece. Happy days! Was not expecting this anytime soon as the other dealer I contacted said 12 months to 2 years... (Apologise for the image orientation, I rotated the image and still seems to come out wrong so gave up!)
