MIDO Baroncelli Heritage
Mido C Baroncelli Heritage The Spanish verb medir means "to measure" and, once conjugated in the first person singular, forms yo mido (I measure). How fitting for a watch brand whose main function isto measure time! Mido was founded in 1918 by watchmaker Gorges Schaeren and 40 years ago it launched a classic collection with a very exotic name: Baroncelli, joined by the Baroncelli Heritage in 2016.The steel or PVD-coated rose gold case comes in two sizes (33mm or 39mm) with a smooth gadroon-shape bezel. It houses the self-winding ETA-based Mido 1192 calibre which provides a 42-hour power reserve and fuels the time and date functions. The delicately grained ivory dial bears three hands: two gold dauphine-shape hour and minute hands and a blue seconds hand. The date appears in a display at 3.Price: 990 CHF (steel) C 1,090 CHF (rose gold PVD)By Sharmila Bertin
Negativity about the 5726?
Can someone please explain to me why there's so much negativity surrounding the 5726, whenever it's mentioned in tandem with the 5711 or 5712? Whenever I read reviews about this watch (Hodinkee, etc.), they're all in love with the 5726. But on this website it appears as though it gets knocked around like a rotten tomato. To me, the mechanism of the 5726 seems superior to the others since it's an AC, and the dial sure looks a lot more balanced and eye-appealing than the asymmetric 5712. Yet it appears that the 5711 and 5712 get so much more attention by this website and even some AD's. I'm new at this, so can someone please explain this? I'm confused. Is it just because the 5726 is thicker?
What do you tell your friends
So I wore the 5167 out on the town on Friday night for some drinks and dancing with friends. In doing so, I created some interesting dance moves to keep people from banging into my watch lol. But anyways, one of my friends was noticing my attire and asked what kinda shirt/pants/shoes I was wearing...then he noticed the watch and asked what kind of watch it was. After I mentioned it was a Patek, having no idea what it was, he asked... and how much was it? My question is, do you guys tell people how much your watches really cost, or do you tell a little white lie to keep from alienating them? I hate getting the statements like why would you buy something like that? or if I had that money I would....blah blah blahIm pretty sure Im not the only one who has to deal with this...so what do you guys do?
Are 42 mm Panerai hard to find?
I'm thinking of getting a Panerai, I had a base 44 mm but it felt too big. I just seen online there is 42 mm anyone now what models go with the 42 mm. Thanks
