Luminox Sentry: Light Technology at a Light Price
Invented in the United States and made in Switzerland, Luminox Light Technology lets a watch glow continuously for at least 25 years. Now its available in a new collection called the Sentry, attractively priced at just $225 MSRP, making the same technology used by SWAT teams, Navy SEALS, Stealth fighter pilots, ATF agents and other professionals around the world available to everyone. The Sentry was created to bring more affordable prices to the general public, and it will be offered by sporting and outfitting retailers in particular. The Sentry is still equipped with the famous Luminox Light Technology (LLT). The Sentry line sports a retro cushion shape and 3 available dial colors – black, white, and dark olive gray. This quartz watch has a carbon-reinforced polymer case with a polyurethane strap. It features oversize hour numbers at 12, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10, with LLT on every other hour at the remaining hour number locations, plus the hands, so there are tubes at 8 rather than 14
ROC Movement Question
Wise TRFers...My F series Royal Oak Chrono has been losing time recently (15 seconds a day) so I sent a note to APSC to see what their advice is. I had it serviced last year at Clearwater so it is still under warranty and would rather get it adjusted now vs. have to pay for it later. This morning as I was setting the time to get a clear indication as to how much it is losing a day, there was something I noticed that I had never seen before. When I pull the crown out to it's time setting position and wind the hands backward, the running second hand stops and in some instances even moves backwards with the minute and hour hands. The 2385 is a non-hacking movement so I am not sure if there is something wrong or if this is normal and I never noticed it before. Anyone with a similar issue or who has a ROC and can verify if this is normal? PS...When I advance the hands forward, the seconds hand continues as normal. It is only when I am advancing the hands backward that it does this.
Polar Plaisted Expedition Speedmaster
Has anyone seen this on the 'Bay?.ebay/itm/SCARCE-OMEGA...item20bfd2c64bAccording to seller, they have documentation from Omega that it is one of four Speedmasters given to the expedition crew. Interesting history, but wonder if that history will bring anything close to the buy now price! Will be interesting to see what happens, if sold through the 'Bay.Does anyone have any sales history of other famous Speedmasters, such as those documented to have been worn during space flight?
Holiday Boredom Sets In
The sapphire blue on the car matches the watches pretty well. You notice these things while waiting for the shopping to conclude.
Radiomir Firenze Acciaio Florence Boutique Edition
Traditionally I've always been a Luminor type of guy.Maybe its just the small child deep down somewhere inside of me but whatever it is I just love the interaction with the pull down lever and the oversized cog wheel winder every couple of days - oh, and it looks freakin' awesome too - bonus!Never really bothered with Radiomir's much, pretty much because of the reason above, just thought of them as sort of 'ok, but not for me thanks' kind of thing. That opinion changed quite dramatically recently when I stumbled across an internet pic of the Radiomir Firenze Acciaio PAM00672 - WOW! What an absolute beauty!!!Unfortunately, I have to accept that this piece will never sit in my humble watch box as its limited to 99 pieces and only available through the Florence boutique, the spiritual home of Panerai. The case work is hand engraved, so each one of the 99 pieces will be totally unique. The P3000 hand wound movement has been completely reworked and embellished with ornate designs to compliment
