Damasko DK14 and DK15 Review
Editor’s note: The following article/review originally appeared on WUS. It is a hands-on look at a rare watch that we’ve been?interested in some time. Damasko is known for their metals and engineering, but they happen to also be one of the few manufacturers of in-house movements available under $5k. The article was written by Brett of Timeless Luxury Watches, which is a retailer of Damasko. ?This is neither a sponsored post or an advertorial, merely a guest post.Today I get to review two watches, and one movement, that I've been dying to see in person for a very long time. Those watches are the Damasko DK14 and DK15, and the movement is their extraordinarily advanced in house A35, one of two in house movements currently made by Damasko (although they modify others).Everything about these watches is unique to Damasko. The way the cases are made, the way the crown screws down, the gaskets, and of course, the movement. But it's not just another ETA clone manufactured in house.
Is the current Patek collection their best ever
Hi guys, for the purpose of the poll this is asking about the watches only. So if you can, please ignore any other aspects of the brand, eg pricing, servicing, QC, production volumes, the number of iterations of the 5270 etc. I'm saying Yes. I had a look at a brochure from 2006 as I needed a benchmark and I wanted to compare to an era when Philippe was still president. In my personal opinion over the last nearly 10 years, the current collection has become much more appealing. Some of my favourites we have now which did not have a direct equivalent from the 2006 brochure: 5711 (although released late 2006 it's not in the brochure), 5980, 5990, 5164, 5235, 5131, 5370, 5208, 5205, 5227. The tricky middle ground where we have similar watches then and now. My view on some of these masterpieces:5970 v 5270. My vote is the modern 5270, post Basel 2015. 5004 v 5204. I'm going modern again if for nothing else than the more contemporary size. 5070 v 5170. It has to be the classic 5070. Will this
Incoming sd43!!
I couldn’t believe how great and handsome this watch was when my AD offered it to me. I sold my blnr and ended up wanting it again so it was between this and the blnr, looks like the sd43 won and I couldn’t be happier! The proportions on this watch are fantastic and fits like a 42mm. People say it can’t be a daily but I’ll be wearing mine everyday. My wrists are on the smaller side but I still like it. One downside I may have with it is getting it to fit not too snug or not too tight. But that red text adds so much character to the watch and yet it’s so subtle, I love it. All in all beautiful watch and happy to finally have it on my wrist! Also I took some iPhone X pics and it kept telling me the resolution was too big. Anyone know how to fix it this? Sorry novice photo poster :/. But I want to share wrist shots and would love to see what you guys think!
new bracelet for gmt
My old bracelet broke and didn't feel like sending out to rolex for however long ,so I sourced a super jubilee for it . Trying to find a local jeweler to fix my oyster but figured I wear this until then maybe sell or trade for a sub bracelet ,but I like it so who knows .Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
Etched Crown
Did Rolex stop etching the crown onto the crystal? Just got a new DJ 116200 from an AD, but no etched crown on glass.
