Audemars Piguet Millenary Minute Repeater Watch
For 2011 one of Audemars Piguet's exotic complication pieces will be this Millenary Minute Repeater watch. I was told by Audemars Piguet that their Millenary line is undergoing an overhaul. Looks like 2011 will not be the year we see new Millenary cases and style, but we will see this sophisticated Minute Repeater with another interesting balance wheel and escapement device. The terminology throws me off a bit. There are terms like "AP Exhaust Pulse Direct." Not sure what that is, but it sounds like something from a race car, not timepiece. Previous to this new movement, Audemars Piguet showed off its AP Escapement. That escapement was really fast, to allow for greater accuracy. The AP Escapement was one that they developed to run at something like 72,000 bpm (amazing). Here in the Millenary Minute Repeater, the movement has slower 21,600 bpm movement, but AP uses one of those trendy new "double balance spring." These are pretty neat and are supposed to help cancel out error making the
Omega Constellation without Emblem on Caseback
Hello, All:I recently came across an Omega Constellation 14K which did not have the Geneva observatory engraved on the case back. I questioned the seller about this and his response was that these were made custom ordered without the emblem engraving if the buyer so chose (where the buyer thought the engraving was uncomfortable on the wrist). Is this correct? I am not able to find anything online to corroborate this theory. Any help/advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

Why Coke will be in SS IMHO in Basel 2018!!!
I firmly believe that Coke will be produced in Stainless Steel and will be unveiled this Baselworld. The reason? Here's my thoughts. Rolex ceramic bezels is easier to make in single color and most easy being the Black (default) color. Then to add HALF a circle is next challenge which is easy if other half is black. So, this way making BLNR was not that difficult. It has just half BLUE circle. If you make Coke bezel, that blue will be replaced with Red and instead it will have half RED circle. So, if you can do BLNR, you can easily do Coke(with minor issue of red shade). If you compare these 2 watches, both appears to be from same set with just Blue or Red options. So, I expect both these to be part of Stainless Steel. Pepsi on the other hand is more difficult to make as it involves two colors(Blue/Red) and very few chances of getting it right hence it was available in WG at the start. The watch was fine but it wasn't the huge seller it was expected. So, they are doing the next option,
