A. Lange & S?hne Lays Cornerstone for New Factory Extension in Glash��tte
German luxury watch brand A. Lange & S?hne took the next step in the expansion of its manufacture in Glash��tte, in the state of Saxony, this week, with the laying of a cornerstone, which also contained an engraved time capsule, by Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid and company founder Walter Lange.The structural framework of the new five-storey building, the initiation of which took place back in September of 2012, now has a completed basement level and base plate, and the Dresden-based contractor handling the project, Wolff & M��ller, has begun erecting the first walls for the entrance area on the ground level. This is the area in which Wilhelm Schmid and Walter Lange set the cornerstone in a ceremony on September 3. The artifacts in the time capsule include a newspaper, the current A. AP as a wedding gift
My Fianc��e was kind enough to let me get my 15400 as an early wedding gift to myself. After getting my Diver I promised her that I wouldn’t buy another watch until the wedding was over. Hard promise to keep since it’s a yearlong engagement. Anyway, I would like to get her a nice watch as a wedding gift and was leaning towards a Rolex DJ 31mm with diamond dial and 24 diamond bezel. However, knowing my addiction to watches she was also nice enough to let us stop by Geneva on our honeymoon and we are now scheduled for the full tour of the AP museum and manufacture. I was thinking I might want to get her a AP Lady Royal Oak instead of the Rolex. She really likes my 15400 and mentioned she loved how understated it is. She also asked if they had a ladies version as soon as she saw it. LOLDoes anyone have experience with the Lady Royal Oaks? I've heard not to go with the quartz movement because you have to send it to AP for battery replacement. I was looking at the Audemars

Advise needed...Where have I gone wrong as a parent?
My son is a working on a PhD in high-energy particle physics (and has used using high-desnity magnetic fields), and expects to graduate in about a year. This Thanksgiving we visited the Rolex and Omega AD's in his area, to look at watches for myself (I got a nice Omega PO a month ago, another story), and get some feedback on what kind of watch he would like for graduation.The interesting part: He does not wear a watch, owns one but does not wear it, and no interested in a watch! Hay, dad's gonna spring for a Rolex Milgaus or a Omega Aqua Terra Anti-Magnetic, and there's no interest!! Arghhhh!!! Where have I failed?!!Advise requested...
