Applications Open for 2012 Rolex Awards
Rolex has announced the opening of applications to the 2012 Rolex Awards for Enterprise. The awards were established in 1976 to provide funding and recognition to individuals whose projects bring significant benefits to their communities and to the wider world. Five Laureates will be selected by an independent Jury of experts who will meet early in 2012. Each Laureate receives $100,000 to advance their project, plus appreciation and publicity for their work through international advertising campaigns. Each Laureate also receives a Rolex timepiece. As ever, we are seeking forward-looking men and women who are tackling the challenges of our age and who have innovative projects, said Rebecca Irvin, head of philanthropy at Rolex. We look forward to receiving many wonderful proposals from around the world. The Rolex Awards are open to anyone of any age or nationality whose groundbreaking projects are helping to expand the knowledge of our world and improve the quality of life on the plane
The reason for Burberry to mark it as a Professional
The reason for Burberry to mark it as a Professional' might also be in the use of the hand wound movement. This Speedy Aventurine features Burberry caliber 1866 C based on Lemania's caliber 1884 C and is being used in the 42mm Burberry Speedmaster Professional Moonphase as well. In the past, this movement also has been used in the Speedmaster Professional Moonphase Broad Arrow models
Introducing: The A. Lange & S?hne 1815 Anniversary Of F.A. Lange In Honey Gold
In February of this year, Lange revealed a limited edition 1815 in honor of the brand's founder. It was made of solid platinum with a black dial, and was made in only 200 pieces. That seems to have been a big hit, so another limited edition in honor of F.A. Lange has been revealed, now with a silver dial – but in Lange's proprietary honey gold. 1 OF 2 This limited edition piece will be very much the same as the platinum F.A. Lange 1815 – a 40 mm case and the beautiful manually wound caliber L051.1 with a power reserve of 55 hours. Each of the 200 watches will be engraved with a serial number xxx/200. This special edition will retail for $33,500 and while very similar to the platinum watch, there is something special about a honey gold Lange. For those who own the existing honey gold pieces, it's a must buy. For those who wanted one and missed out, here is a great way to own a special watch that is purely Lange.More here. 2 OF 2
A bit of a dilemna
Hello everyone, in the process of purchasing a new AP. Either the Survivor or ROO REF. #26405CE.OO.A002CA.01IMG_1977.jpgIMG_1977.jpgIMG_1989.jpgPrices quoted are as follows:Survivor: 28,793 USDROO 44: 29,447 USDWhat do you think is the better deal? And which speaks more to you? The survivor is such a rare watch but it's also a late model so I'm not very sure. I own a ROO Elephant and Rolex Daytona Any other input would be appreciated.

Hi guys, I was talking to my AD yesterday and he mentioned that he just got this watch in (Pictures from the net). I have been eyeing a Diver but something is growing on me with this one. Opinions and comments are welcome. Also, is it true that the ROO themes line is being discontinued? Thanks for your time.
