Bremont Codebreaker Limited Edition Watch Announced
Bremont just announced its latest limited edition piece, the Codebreaker watch. Much like the?EP-120, the P-51, and last year's Victory, this new model follows Bremont's pattern of creating limited edition watches that are connected to famous military icons and often incorporate materials sourced from specific historic examples. The Codebreaker commemorates Bletchley Park's involvement in World War II military intelligence. Essentially the headquarters for British code breaking and decryption, Bletchley Park is responsible for unlocking the secrets of the German Enigma and Lorenz machines, which helped to greatly expedite the end of the war. Bremont is paying tribute to the successes of Bletchley Park by designing a watch that not only looks the part but also incorporates actual physical elements from Bletchley Park and the technologies they helped to develop (or crack). Breaking News: Sotheby's Chairman Daryn Schnipper Confirmed For HODINKEE Collectors Summit, To Discuss Selling The Most Expensive Watch In The World
The HODINKEE Collectors Summit is really taking shape. Not only will we have the likes of Aurel Bacs, Jason Singer, John Reardon, and Philippe Dufour in the house for completely candid, behind the scenes conversation with you, but we are thrilled to announce a new addition the schedule. And it's a big one. Like, to the tune of $24,000,000. Daryn Schnipper is the international chairman of the Sotheby's watch department. She is the woman responsible for selling the most expensive, most important watch on the planet, twice. Yes, Daryn is the woman who first set the record at $11 million dollars for the Henry Graves Supercomplication – one we thought would stand for all eternity – only to break it this past November by selling the very same watch for over $24 million. She'll be at the 2015 HODINKEE Collectors Summit to tell you what it was like first discovering this horological giant and then going through the process of researching it, understanding
My First Omega (Speedmaster Professional 35th Anniversary Apollo Soyuz)
It finally arrived freshly built from Omega 1 month, 22 days after I ordered it. The look of slight disgust when I told the sales person that I wasn't going to wear the steel bracelet with it was amusing... but she did admit that it looked pretty sharp once she saw it on the watch.
Speedmaster Bezel Replacement
I have an early 90's Speedmaster 3811.50.50 reduced/auto with the silver tach bezel. Is there a black replacement bezel for this model, and if so, what would the model number be? I looked on the Otto Frei site, but did not see one.thanks
16613 sub
Howdy guys,An opportunity came along for a 2015 16613 two tone 18k blue face/bazele, no papers, it is authentic, alway loved the look but avoided anything sport rolex that is not stainless as I knew they had harder time retaining value.... What does the market give to these models if I was to move on it? I see them on line from 7-12k used.... Thats all over the map.... Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
