Talking Watches: With Brad Farmerie
Welcome to episode 18 of Talking Watches. Today we're sitting down with Brad Farmerie, the executive chef behind several of the hottest New York City eateries right now. After honing his craft in London in the 1990s, Farmerie returned to the U.S. in 2003 to open Public Restaurant, which would earn the coveted Michelin Star a handful of years later. In 2011, Saxon + Parole opened its doors, and it is here that we met to discuss his thoughtfully curated collection. This is Talking Watches with Brad Farmerie. 1 OF 26 Bell & Ross BR 03 2 OF 26 Farmerie's first mechanical watch was this Bell & Ross BR 03, which was a wedding gift from his wife. As you'll see throughout his collection, Farmerie's tastes clearly tend toward the tool/function end of the spectrum – and this 42 mm aviation-themed piece is no exception. 3 OF 264 OF 26 JS Watch Co. Question regarding changing out strap 42mm ROO
Hey guys, i would like to replace the oem leather with rubber strap. I believe the width is 28mm and the buckle is 18mm correct? Would a 44mm ROO strap be interchangeable? Because they're 28mm throughout I don't like the narrow look of the oem leather. My local AD sent me this picture. Would I need to get a new buckle? Also go oem rubber or aftermarket? Does anyone know what the price of the oem rubber cost? Thanks for the help
New Omega Arrival...
After trying on a WSOTM, I couldn't get white watches out of my head. I wasn't really looking to buy a White Side, but wanted something similar. After banging around for a week was able to source both the watch on bracelet and the strap (the boutique had one in stock).I know it's not for everyone, but I think it's cool.
Landed: My Wife Loves A Rose
Mrs. Wildcat465, in spite of her vast trove of sparkly trinkets that would make any spoiled princess envious, would not stand for my grail's arrival without having a little something for herself. When reminded that she already has a YG ladies president showered with diamonds, she made me understand that old bauble is of little consequence since that acquisition was made almost one-half score ago and it's much too small for her big eyes. She insisted...no, demanded, that she needed something rosy to match a ring that she purchased not three weeks ago. So, here is the blossom that she picked. (Unfortunately <insert her pouting face here>, it missing diamonds on the dial. So, I'm scouring the world trying to find her a rose diamond dial. Can anyone help?
