Rolex Day-Date 40 Watch With New Rolex 3255 Movement
Rolex Day-Date 40 in 950 platinum (Reference 228206)The Rolex Day-Date 40 marks the update for what officially is called the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date,?featuring "a modernized design with a 40mm case"?and a new movement, caliber 3255.?The Rolex Day-Date 40 will be available exclusively in 950 platinum, 18k yellow, white or Everose gold. Size-wise, this new version replaces the Rolex 41 mm Day-Date II (reviewed here) exactly matching the diameter of?the brand's sportier watches such as the Submariner, Daytona, GMT-Master II.The Rolex Day-Date 40 features a range of new dials with thin, laser-etched motifs, applied over a traditional sun-ray finish.?Seen above is the version with?the "deconstructed Roman numerals," with numerous hand-applied pieces making up the individual numerals. The laser etching appears to be as sharp and and defined as one would expect to see from Rolex, but if you want one of?these new unique dials,?you will have to get the Rolex Day-Date 40 as they are exclusive

Must Say My Next Purchase Is Not A Rolex - This Sexy New Addition!!!
Hi guysI must admit although I like the new 36mm ladies date just and the new SS sub the only other watch that interests me from the Basel fair is the Omega Planet Ocean Liquid Metal. Ceramic and Liquid Metal (Allegedly highly scratch resistant) In my dealers words whilst out in Basel - a very sexy watch indeed!!I asked him 6 months prior to the watch fair about this baby and I am told I will not be dissapointed!!! The UK retail is approximately 3000 and produstion is limited to 1948 pieces worldwide - inline with the first release of the Seamaster.Link as follows blog.perpetuelle/index.ph...ocean-is-here/I have to say it's the first watch I have been excited about for quite some time!!
Ceramic Submariner on steel/rubber/leather, comfort?
Hi, sincere apologies if this has been discussed before, believe me, I have searched and googled but I have not quite been able to find what I am after.I will be receiving my ceramic Submariner soon and I am curious about what it would be like to wear on a rubber or leather strap, most specifically the comfort aspect. I know that the Submariner is by all accounts very comfortable to wear on it's steel bracelet. So, my question is, do you find a rubber/leather strap more or less comfortable to wear than the steel bracelet? In real world daily use, what do you prefer?I love the way it looks on steel, but I can see that it might be fun to change things around sometimes. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Recommendations required
This is an on going pursuit for a Oyster Flip- Lock 93150 bracelet with or without the original 580 end links, I'm looking for recommendations of who preferably in the uk may be able to help supply something that's either in a good used condition or something that is repairable, I don't fancy my chances on E-Bay..... Is there anyone I should consider speaking with?
