Hublot King Power Ayrton Senna Limited Edition Watches
In 1994 a terrible accident during an F1 race in Italy caused Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna to die. I believe that he was the last person to die during a Formula 1 race, and has been a testament to the needs of caution and safety in the work of super-fast racing circuits. Since his death, lots of new safety regulations and technology have been implemented to make the world of competitive racing safer.Recently an event was held in his honor, to raise money for charity via the Instituto Ayrton Senna. Hublot, a long time partner with many drivers as well as the official timepiece maker of Formula One was there to offer two new limited edition timepieces. The event would have been Senna's 50th birthday, and at the event was a debut of a new documentary film about his life called "Senna." The film is being carried by Paramount Pictures, having been developed by Working Title and Universal together. To Switzerland For SIHH and GTE 2010
Maybe a surprise to you, but this is going to be my first trip to Switzerland. Today I embark on a (frustratingly long) flight to Geneva for two important shows. First is the highly exclusive SIHH 2010, put on indirectly by the Richemont Group to celebrate mostly its brands. This gala style event is apparently very high-class, and of course, as always, "by invitation only." I do consider myself lucky having be asking to attend. There I will mingle and see new for 2010 releases of many brands, just a few of which are Audemars Piguet (not part of Richemont), A. Lange & Sohne, Cartier, Panerai, Vacheron Constantin, Greubel Forsey (also not part of Richemont I understand), Van Cleef & Arpels, Richard Mille (not part of Richemont), IWC, and many more!There is also the high-end independent watch maker show known as the Geneva Time Exhibition, that I will be attending. Another load of great watch makers will be here including, but not limited to, Alain Silberstein, Linde Werdelin, HD3

2nd Patek joined the family
After 5550p, I needed one that I can wear casually, well actually I need one that can wear at all So, picked up my favourite nautilus to date. 5726A! I had a little debate between this and 5712g given that the little price difference for the case difference, but the balanced dial and looks of 5726A just got me.Here you go with some photos, not very good quality, sorry about that. Another great heirloom story
So my father surprised me yesterday. I had asked if he still had my Grandfathers Rolex as I wanted to see it and perhaps share photos with you other Rolex nerds. Well he finally found it and long story short it has passed down one more generation. I don't know anything about it aside from my Grandfather was gifted it after he finished building the main hospital in Valetta, Malta in the 1950's If any of you know what model it is and value please chime in. Also i would like to have the movement checked out. It does run, after a couple turns of the crown but if the moment isn't A ok i don't want to cause damage.
