CK2998 bracelet fitting trouble
I purchased a CK2998 and separately a 1125 bracelet with 560 end links and for the life of me I can't get it installed despite using a burgeon spring bar tweezer. What am I missing, do I need shorter spring bars than those that came with the strap?Christian
A couple of photos of my 5550P
Just wanted to share these.. Enjoy.
47mm WITH date
Alright, well a month or so back I babbled about getting a PAM, now sitting nicely on my wrist is the 372 (love it). However, the first thing I noticed was the lack of a date. I didn't think it would be an issue, but I find that I am looking at it quite often for the date (apparently I use that function often in my other references). It doesn't diminish the watch for me, but does let me yearn for one with a date function. Issue being: no 47mm w/date (at least none I found). So how many of you all would want a date function in a 47mm? If it came out, i'd be first in line...but who would be second?
Visit to Japan - Nakano Broadway
I've just come home from a week long holiday to Japan; it was my first time there. Spent most of my days in Tokyo, with a 2d1n trip to Hakone-Gotemba. Naturally, I've read a lot about Jack Road and watch hunting in Tokyo (a lot of it from here on TRF), so I planned a full day of just browsing for watches. I found out much later, that Jack Road is actually within a sort of mall or shopping complex. About 3 storeys high and inside, a whole chunk of shops that sells preowned bags, watches, jewelry... basically luxury goods. There are also magazine, comic and toy stores; it can get a little confusing. Since I read that Jack Road was on the third floor, that's where I started. I think two of the major stores on the third floor are Jack Road and Kame-Kichi. There's also a Betty Road which caters to watches for women. Once you take the escalator that goes directly from ground floor (1F) to third floor (3F), turn right and you'll see Jack Road. Kame-Kichi is somewhere along the left of the esc
Tag 6000 Chrono
Ok guys I need some opinions. I have my first what I would call a nice watch that I bought probably 20yrs ago. It's a Tag Heuer 6000 Chronograph Quartz. I just had it's serviced directly at Tag and spent $780. It looks basically new now. The problem I have is that I never wear it anymore and it just sits in my watch box. My question is should I sell it? It doesn't really have any sentimental value to me, but I just spent almost $800 to have it serviced. I wouldn't even know what it's worth. I don't have kids so that's not an option. I could give it to one of my older brothers, he's not a watch guy but seems to only like my Rolex watches. So what's the consensus, any opinions?
