The American Tourbillon: RGM Pennsylvania Calibre MM 2
OK, so before you begin reading this I need you to start the above video of a choir rendition of "America the Beautiful." The video has some cheesy imagery of course, but interestingly sums up my swelling patriotic pride in America's first made (and designed) tourbillon movement. It is no surprise that this comes straight from Pennsylvania at RGM. The brand recently announced America's first made and designed watch movement (in a long time), and now its very first tourbillon. Hailing from Lancaster county, it is funny how this innovation in the American watch industry stems from a place where much of its population is living in the past. I am of course referring to the wealth of Amish that live out there. It is an interesting framework for watch making in general. While new inventions and innovations are regularly announced from around the world, it is at its heart, a super retro industry. So for ultra developed America (relatively speaking) to finally come out with a complication it co

Incoming- back in the Omega club!
I can't believe I forgot to post this incoming bc I bought it a month ago. I was doing some car shopping so I guess that's why I forgot. Anyhow, here he is! Love the vintage look and really like the change of pace with the thick case. Surprisingly it's pretty comfy. Really enjoying it! LOVE the polished outer links!!!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tudor 79220 red or blue. Should I go for it??
IMG_3180.JPGHello fellow TRF membersI was at my AD yesterday and he had these two Tudor watches sitting in his case. I never looked at Tudor but the colors grabbed my attention then when I did some research I found how sought after they areI like both watches equally, which one is more sought after and what kinda discount (if any) should I look for?Thank you for input! What side?
It may have been asked before but it's a fairly poignant one for me so I'll ask anyway. What side do you wear your watch on? And is it the same side or opposite to your dominant hand?I went for years wearing a watch on my left and being right handed. However in 2010 I had a pretty nasty motorbike accident which resulted in a smashed left wrist (amongst a lot of other things) and now even though fully recovered, a watch on my left wrist feels horrible due to nerve damage, so I wear on my right. Everyone asks if I'm left handed, and surprises them when I say no...I heard traditionally you are supposed to wear a watch on whatever side you write with, so if you need to write the time/date you can easily check first, I don't know how correct this is!Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
