Hands-On: The Histoire De Tourbillon 6 By Harry Winston
Like its predecessors, the Histoire de Tourbillon 6 is obviously a legacy watch. Grandiose pieces likely don't see the most wrist time. That, however, doesn’t make them any less grandiose. This watch is essentially composed of two independent sections. They are geometrically recognizable as circles versus square. Like every other installment in the Histoire de Tourbillon series, each section of the Histoire de Tourbillon 6 explores and evolves the concept of the tourbillon. 1 OF 7 The orbs to the left of the case are part of a tri-axial tourbillon, which means three different spins in one. The balance wheel cage spins every 45 seconds inside a second cage, which spins every 75 seconds on its own vertical axis. This pair is housed inside a third, spherical cage that revolves every 300 seconds. Who here remembers prime factorization? beamon RIP
Some of you old timers will remember beamon who was an early and active member of this and other forums. Roger and I shared interests beyond watches and over the years became good friends. A couple of years ago he and his wife moved from Tucson to South Carolina and we talked many times of finally meeting face-to-face. We communicated regularly via email and phone so last week when I realized that I had not heard from Roger in a while, I gave him a call. His wife answered and told me that Roger was not doing well and was under hospice care. So Saturday my wife and I drove up for the meeting we had talked about for so long. We also got to meet Roger's wife, daughter and son in law. Fortunately Roger was alert enough to participate in our conversations. It was a wonderful time together. Last evening I received a text from Roger's daughter that Roger had just died. He died as he lived, gracefully and peacefully.
Panerai PAM 00088 Think I should buy it?
Hey Guys,I have always liked my friends watch (Panerai Luminor GMT PAM00888 model) It comes with all box, papers, and an extra strap in black. Its in great condition. He tell me he bought it new 7 years ago. He is offering it to me for $4500....I think its a pretty fair price... Your thoughts are greatly appreciated. Im not familiar with Panerai watches in general but just love that look. Any cons on this model?Thanks!Martin-
Here it is!
OK...sorry about the other thread with no pic. If you didn't see it or know what I'm talking about, it's probably just as well. Steve, you were right, my brother. You know me too well! Merry Christmas to all my TRF family!
Just Perfect
I've always preferred a rubber strap. I've always liked the size of the Daytona I like contrast in a dial. I like the ability to have a sub-timer. I like lume. This watch is awesome.
