1947 Breitling Datora rescue!
Dear Friends, here's a 785 I chanced upon with a rare dial configuration with gold dot markers on the dial. I initially wasn't sure about this configuration so contacted knowledgeable forum friends who confirmed it was all original. I then came across some advertisements (seen in pics) showing the same dial configuration and knew I had to breathe life into this watch. Off it went to a known vintage Breitling repairer who did his best to preserve this watch for the future. Offcourse the dial does show it's age so not much could be done about that but he put in plenty of effort into getting the movement and parts working again besides some other essential repairs. Hope you enjoy the pictures. Before PicsAt the SpaAfter Pics
Omega help, please?
I have a chance to purchase a gently-used Omega Seamaster Bond 007 2537.80.00 Limited Edition watch for $900.00.Seller has no problem accompanying me to an Omega AD for inspection.Assuming that all is good, should I jump on the deal?..I know VERY little about Omegas.....Your help would be gratefully appreciated. Cheers,Bob.
Help identify PP, platinum plus annual calendar.
Can anyone identify this watch and how much it's worth? It's a platinum annual calendar with a diamond on the six oclock side.
Gammeter singapore 1936-37 catalog

DayDate at the Beach?
Yes, I know it's a Rolex and it can be worn anywhere and I typically keep it on no matter what I'm doing...Now that that's out of the way, I'll ask -Has anyone worn their gold DD or gold anything to the beach? Family vacation coming up and I've grown so used to this DD40 on my wrist I just don't feel like wearing my Sub or anything else.Anyone wear their DD to the beach? The older satin finished DD definitely held the scratches better than these polished cases. I'm obviously worried about scratching it up badly, but at the same time, a gold Sub or GMT would scratch just the same.Thoughts?Anyone have any pics of a DD40 with some war wounds?
