Parmigiani Bugatti Tourbillon Watch + Bugatti Galibier 16C Car
It was years ago now - more than 10- when I first saw what was to become this Bugatti Galibier 16C Concept car. It was the Bugatti EB 218, a concept that shared the same fastback shape and uber luxury stance as this close to production Bugatti Galibier 16C automotive. Perhaps the EB 218 was a bit more attractive, but certainly not as advanced. Car lovers have known for a while now that Bugatti was to follow up its money losing 16/4 Veyron over a million dollar car, with other vehicles. Little is known about the details of this Bugatti Galibier but it will not be the significantly lower priced sports car we are looking forward to. It is an all new sedan, also with a 16 cylinder 8 liter engine and a two-stage supercharger. What is interesting about the engine is that it is made to be a Flex Fuel motor. Meaning it can accept standard gasoline as well as ethanol. No, it is not being marketed by GM. The car also features a substantial amount of carbon fiber as well as the large polished alu
Xicorr Circle Review
Xicorr watches is a new brand based out of Poland. Like G. Gerlach, who we reviewed recently, Xicorr is focused on manufacturing locally in Poland, having interesting designs and affordable prices. While Gerlach makes watches based on classic designs and themes, Xicorr goes for an entirely novel look. It's rare to find watches, especially in this price range, that start ground up with their designs. Case, dial, hands, etc were all created specifically for the watch. That's not just to say that the parts aren't "off-the-shelf" (they are all made in Poland), they are also utterly different. The first watch by Xicorr, which we're reviewing today, is the Circle. It's a modern sport watch with a very distinct look that you wont find elsewhere. When asked, the designer of the watch, Adam, told me that the design started with the idea of using a standard size screw as a functional center point. This inspired the vocabulary of circles used throughout and, of course the name. The Circle feature
Introducing The New Baume & Mercier Clifton Complete Calendar, A Vintage Inspired Triple Calendar For Under $5,000
Baume & Mercier has really been hitting its stride the past couple of years, fitting in comfortably as the most affordable brand in the Richemont stable. But don’t mistake affordable for boring. B&M has been looking to its past for design inspiration, a strategy we wholeheartedly endorse - remember the Capeland Flyback from 2011? One piece that impressed us at SIHH was the new Clifton Complete Calendar, which is a complete dead ringer for a 1950s Baume & Mercier. The Clifton Complete Calendar features a Dubois-Dupraz movement that displays the month, the day, and the phase of the moon (called a “poetic” complication by B&M design chief, Alexandre Peraldi) in dial apertures, as well as the date, which is pointed to by a central hand. 2 OF 3 Clifton Complete Calendar With Blue Dial Speaking of the dial, the Clifton Complete Calendar can be had with a beautiful sunburst silvery white dial with gold markers or in deep blue with silver mar
