Affiliate Marketing, Watch Shopping, and Design Knock-Offs
Affiliate marketing, in a nut shell, is when an site that sells a product pays a site that draws a customer to the product seller's site. The two entities here are the advertiser (has product to sell), and the publisher (drives traffic). An enormous trend these days, is recommendation-based affiliate marketing. Essentially, when a publisher promotes a product or service by writing an article about it and referring it. This natural-looking marketing seems to work wonders with consumers looking for product reviews.Watches are a bit different than most products, because writing a review on them is very difficult. First, most people don't really care about the quality or craftsmanship of a watch, it is the price, then the look that matters. Second, after talking about the actual features and construction of the watch, the matter of taste is highly personal. There have been watches people love, and I just cannot seem to appreciate (Rolex Datejust for example, it is the fluting on the bezel
Which Royal Oak?
Hi guysFor those of you who read the Rolex section on this forum, you may have seen that my wife has endorsed the purchase of a Royal Oak and a Nautilus, and we now have a three year plan to achieve this. The plan is as follows:1.Buy a Royal Oak for me which will occasionally be worn by my wife2.Buy a Nautilus for me and give the Royal Oak to my wife (to be worn by me occasionally)I currently have a Sea Dweller as my daily wearer and this will stay in the collection. My wife has a blue faced Rolex Perpetual which will continue to be her main daily. It's also worth noting that a watch that fits me perfectly is a touch loose on my wife, which is how she likes to wear her watches, so my skinny wrists (c.6.5 ) are finally doing me a favour!I have 9 months to give this proper consideration (as need to save) and will try on various watches, but keen to get the party started and would appreciate the view of anyone who has been on the same journey. The questions on my mind right now are:1.Alth

Patek for a noob
Considering buying a used Patek as a daily wearer and my 1st Patek, for a bit north of $20,000. Work in an office on weekdays and typically wear business casual on weekends (shorts in summer). Can't stand Patek sport watches (Nautilis, Aquanat, etc.) Prefer yellow/pink/rose gold to white gold/platinum. Going against the Patek aesthetic, I like watches that attract attention, so a larger size would probably be best .Saw a 5170J with silver dial in person and loved it vs. the few other (smaller) Pateks on display but at 45-50K used, it's way out of my price range. A 5205R-001 would probably also fit the bill but again too expensive. Considering stretching to a 5146. (I've never seen any of the latter two watches in person.)Any recommendations?
I love this m. repeater ...
So classic, clean dial, elegant .....etc.My new 5078P.Enjoy these pics my friends....Stay tuned for more pics ...
