Rare SS Speamaster recently sold in Japan
I saw this for sale recently but was too slow with the trigger and it's been sold. I know jmsrolls (Fr. John) collects Speamasters (a few Seamasters made in October 1998 had Speedmaster) erroneously printed on the dials) but I hadn't seen a SS one before. This one is a 36mm 2501.21 model. interesting detail on the new 5170R
looks like the live pictures show matching and distinct cream colored chrono and minute counter hands for both the R versions of the 5170, unlike the image on pateks website.similar to the white dialed G version having black chrono and minute hand while the rest are white gold.i am a fan but i do believe i like the black dialed R the most image credit to Bexsonn.bexsonn/new-patek-phi...aph-ref-5170r/
Soo.....I just bought a Smurf
So while walking around an AD I tried on a few pieces, planning to focus on a blue faced Milguass, only to focus on the white gold sub....And the wife responds with I love that one! It's my favorite! Fast forward to the drive home, where she states: I always liked that one, you should call (our AD). as I get home, I called, placed the deposit, going to pick up when I arrive in town in 2 weeks. Damn these things are addictive.
