Intro and new/old watch
New poster here. Received this yesterday, I've been looking at these for a while. I had Ashley take a quick look at this one before I purchased it (many thanks to him). I know the second hand should be orange but I don't think the red looks bad and will probably deal with that later. I'm pleased with the look of the dial and really love the pump pushers. I guess I'll be cruising here from time to time. I've been also looking at the SM 300s but haven't seen the right example for me yet.
2534.50 GMT questions on dimensions... any info appreciated.
Looking for help on 2 specific points:1. How much thicker is the GMT as compared to the 2254.50? 2. Will a Speedy style bracelet from the 2254.50 (a 1610/930) fit on the GMT?Thanks for any assistance on these 2 points.
I'm excited...

New Gunny straps for my 233
When I first got my 233 I got a few Toshi straps - .rolexforums/showthread.php?t=420370I wanted something different next time and after a few emails with Pattyb69 decided on a couple of Gunny straps - the Caitlin 2 and Caitlin 4. I took some photos of them today. The Caitlin 2 (the lighter one) is softer and really comfortable, but I like them both.
What if your legit purchase gets reported stolen?
I've been considering a SubC 116610LN for some time -- just looking for the right life excuse to buy it.I was set on buying from one of our trusted forum private sellers, but what if a watch they sell with complete box and papers was stolen in its previous life, unbeknownst to the seller? I do NOT suspect any trusted seller here would knowingly accept a stolen watch. But, what if a watch with full kit was stolen during a home burglary and made it's way to a trusted seller after changing hands a few times?Obviously, this is an unlikely scenario. I personally believe that a full kit private sale is the only way to go for buying private, and greatly reduces the risk of a stolen watch.Just wondering if this has ever occurred, and what legal recourse I'd have in getting my watch back if Rolex were to seize it during a service 10 years down the road.Private party pricing is very attractive at around $8000, compared to the $8550 + tax ($9200 out the door) here in Arizona.Just thinking out lou
