MB&F and Sarpaneva Shoot for the Moon with New Horological Machine
Finnish independent watchmaker Stepan Sarpaneva has joined MB&F’s growing circle of “friends,” collaborating with MB&F founder Max Bsser to develop the newest MB&F “horological machine,” called the HM3 MoonMachine. Designed on the platform of MB&F’s unconventional “Frog” model, it features an entirely new moon-phase complication designed by Sarpaneva.Sarpaneva, who worked with brands such as Piaget and Parmigiani, and with watchmakers like Vianney Halter and Christophe Claret, before starting his own brand in 2003, has become known for three signature themes: moon-phase indicators with distinctive, expressive “faces,” based on his own face, engraved on the moon; the use of stars and constellations from the northern sky of his native Finland; and the use of a crenellated case shape that he refers to as “Korona.” All of these elements are present in the new model, which MB&F (which stands for Max
What is this Breitling?
Hi All,I recently purchased this nice Breitling manual wind single pusher chronograph. I've been trawling forums to try and find a similar model but with no luck. The case size is 41mm.It looks like an early 40's model, maybe a precursor to the Chronomat? The dial has been restored from what I can see.Kind regards,Paul
NYC- Minute repeater event
The minute repeater event in NYC was amazing!A group of 4 clients and 4 AD reps spent the day at Patek's NYC facility in Rockefeller Plaza with Larry Pettinelli and Laurent Junod. Laurent delivered a fascinating presentation on the history and culture of minute repeaters, during which time all questions were answered. In fact, interesting questions continued to be answered throughout the day by both Larry and Laurent providing some rare insight into the brand, history, and various references.Numerous minute repeaters were available for hands on examination. (!!!) Two additional advanced techs that I remembered from the recent exhibition at Cipriani were also there to facilitate examination and discussion.Absolutely attend if given the opportunity. Lunch at La Grenouille was a wonderful touch and a champagne toast with swag bags was the perfect close.A++ all around!!(I'll add here that it absolutely had the intended effect because a minute repeater is my new grail) I hope other friends

Why is the Milgauss so unpopular?
Is it the thickness, the thunder hands, the price, the heft? Please share your thoughts on why the modern milgauss gets no love, while the vintage milgauss gets lots of love?
