Croton J178898 Men's Diver Style Watch
A good value? You decide. This not so bad looking Croton watch is going for less than $40 as of when I am writing this article. Regular price is just $51.75. Compared to most watches I discuss, the price for this watch is more or less couch change. A good deal for a good watch isn't always hard to find. So let's see if this piece is worth a dinner for two at Applebee's.What I like about the (basically has no name) Croton J178898 Men's Quartz Stainless Steel Mesh Bracelet Watch is the diver watch style and mesh metal bracelet. Dial is pretty easy to read, and I like the two-tone black and yellow bezel. Might even be a rotating bezel! The case is 44mm wide in steel, and has a black IP (ion plating) bezel. The dial has quirks like military time on it, while most of the hour markers on the bezel. Crystal over the dial is mineral glass. Looks like there is even a bit of lume in the hands. The case is water resistant to 50 meters (so don't really dive with it), but looks pretty nice in a poli
Is it wrong?
My 15202 is on the FEDEX truck, returning from the spa, and I'm as excited as a new piece. I suppose it will be new in many regards. Just love its simplicity. Just in time for the weekend. Stay tuned for pics..
AQUA TERRA vs. EXP 1
Understanding that this is a forum with fans of Omega and Rolex.. and this is in the Omega section.. just curious about your thoughts on the newer Aqua Terra 41.5mm teak grey dial vs. the newer Rolex Explorer 1 39mm. Has anyone had any experience with both models? Obviously.. the Aqua Terra offers the date function while the Explorer does not.. wondering more about how each of them wear and any other thoughts you may have? Thanks guys..
I am in love
The Omega Deville Co Axial Chronny. This is beautiful. Never really noticed one before, I saw somebody wearing a year or so old one today with a white dial and sapphy crystal caseback. To me, this is as a pretty as a WG Cos on a leather strap and a heck of a lot cheaper.Talk to me guys, I know nothing about this gorgeous beast. Movement, history etc.So many watches, so few pennies.J
5650G first impressions
Hello all, I really enjoy the info and thoughts on the forum here so - thought I might share my initial thoughts and some pictures in different lighting of what maybe the most polarizing offering this year from Patek. It's been a few years since I have had a Aqua so I found the recent tutorial from Puffy useful:) Just my opinions...and disclosure: Generally I like skeletons, old and modern Patek, limited edition pieces, sports model watches and I am not to serious about my watches. So - not unbiased and not known for great pictures. 1. The thin boarder around the skeleton area is an interesting finishing touch. It adds a little bit of finishing polish. 2. The blue is fantastic on the Aquanaut. 3. Generally the open skeleton area does not take away from the legibility of the hands. However outdoors the high polish skeleton area can pick up a quick glare from the sun. 4. The lume is significantly more powerful than I recall. 5. So far, those around me (that are not smitten with all thing
