New Tag Heuer Carrera 01...
I know this is an AP forum but thought I share the new TH Carrera 01 anyway, i tried it at my local AD, I am positive towards it, it is for sure aimed towards the crowd that like AP ROO and Hublot BB but at a lower price point (list 5500 USD)....You can see that Mr Biver is involved in the design as it is very Hublotish....So, does it fly, my fellow AP lovers?....

April Fool: 5712 or 5164
Hi allFirst of all thanks to all of you who replied to my thread with regards to choosing between a 5712 and a 5164. Really helpful comments.I got a msg from my AD about a week ago telling me that I had been allocated a 5712G that was to arrive on April 1.I still hadn't decided between the 5712G and the 5164. I told my AD contact I was probably leaning towards the 5164 however I didn't want to miss the opportunity to see the Nautilus in the flesh so in I go to check it out. I'm the first customer in the door. I look at the 5712G from every angle for quite a while. It's a beautiful piece but it just wasn't singing to me... I wanted to look cool like Paul McCartney and George Soros! So I tell the AD that I just can't do it and will wait for the 5164. He asks me if I'm sure and I say yes. He signals to his co-worker and within 30 seconds out she comes with a double sealed 5164! He says surprise! April Fools! Was t sure if I was annoyed or ecstatic or both. Probably both! Anyway it was gr
First Rolex in Singapore
Hello from down under ! I'm off to Turkey next week however will be in Singapore for a couple of days. I've read previously Singapore is an ideal country to make a purchase and I'm looking to join the Rolex club. Does anyone have any valuable advice they can share with me in regards to which AD's or what to look out for etc... Would appreciate any kind of input. Thank you all in advance.
Explorer I handset on 116000 Oyster Perpetual
Before I start I would like to introduce myself to this great forum. I have posed before though without introduction. I am from Australia, my avatar is a Waratah, the NSW state emblem. Now my question. I have a blue sunburst dial 116000 OP. For me it is a great every day watch. It is perfect to me in all respects except for one fatal flaw! The hands are too thin, the minute hand and second hand are indistinguishable in common light, therefore telling the story time at a glance is impossible. I must qualify that my age is part of the problem, I need glasses to read. Now I feel that modifying a rolex is bad form, though I feel that the modification is not permanent, so for my own benefit some Mercedes hand would make it legible.I nearly bought some Datejust hands from eBay as these are slightly thicker and it would seem the new double baton OP's carry these hands. Too slow, now they are sold.I have noticed a couple of people have put 14270 hands on the watch, a blue faced explorer is th
