TAG Heuer CEO Stphane Linder Resigns, Jean-Claude Biver Steps In As Interim CEO
Big news out of La Chaux-de-Fonds: Stphane Linder, CEO of TAG?Heuer, has resigned from his position at the helm of one of the world's largest watchmakers. Jean-Claude Biver, current Head of Watchmaking?at LVMH, will act as CEO of TAG?Heuer in the interim.Linder assumed the role of CEO just last year, after former CEO Jean-Christophe Babin left TAG?Heuer to become CEO at Bulgari.?The departure of Linder, who has worked at TAG?Heuer for 21 years, comes amidst significant?restructuring at the firm, including 46 layoffs in September and a refocus on lower-priced watches.Linder's resignation is the second departure of key management this year for TAG?Heuer, after Patrick Pruniaux, VP of Sales and Retail, left the Swiss watchmaker to join Apple.
15400 As Daily & Only Driver
Is it inconceivable to wear the 15400 as a daily driver, but as ones only timepiece? Naturally, it couldn't be worn ALL the time, but I'm flirting with this idea a bit. Unlike many others, I'd like to be of the 1 watch for all things camp...maybe 2. Feedback appreciated.
Thoughts on the new Bond Semaster 300 Master Co-Axial
Looks like a pretty amazing piece - great movement with some cool nods to the past like the lollipop second hand, and gotta say, when I first saw the 12 hour graduated bezel, was not sure - but its like a pseudo GMT watch minus the extra hand with the bi-direction bezel. Also, love the NATO - while I think Omega NATO's are overpriced, they are much nicer than the $15 dollar ones on the net - which I still use and love. And, first time the exact watch by Omega worn on screen will be sold to the public - I think this is a winner.
Incoming LE from Circa 2000
I have looked for one of these off and on for several years. I am drawn to the vintage Connie elements, particularly the pie pan dial and heavy hour markers. Dark blue dial, blue gator band, deployant clasp, all boxes and papers, in 18K rose gold. Circa 2000-2002. First use of the co-axial escapement in an Omega.Getting it tomorrow or Wednesday. Will post actual pics then. Below is an Omega corporate pic. 999 released in this style.
Accurate Central - PAM 233
I just noticed that my PAM 233 is scary accurate - only a few seconds late after more than a month of service. My 372 is running fast and my 514 is running really fast - both a P.3000 movement.Have you noticed the same?
