Creating The Horological Machine: An Interview With MB&F Founder Max Bsser Part 1
Contributed by David BredanThe last 10-15 years have arguably been the most entertaining, most enthralling in the history of watch making. These years saw the rise of an immense amount of superbly gifted watch makers and brands C like Urwerk, HYT, DeBethune or Antoine Martin, just to name a few C and they have never failed to amaze, or at least amuse watch lovers; while often triggering heated debates amongst them. These brands are the ones who have the real power to entertain any watch lover regardless the level of financial or academic involvement by?expressing their oftentimes shocking, previously unimaginable twists on watch making.Maximilian Bsser is undoubtedly one of the key players in making all this possible by overwhelming retrograde tastes and attitudes towards high-end watch making: first by starting the Opus line at Harry Winston, bringing the staggering and shockingly fresh works of often less publicly known watch makers to the public; and then by creating Machines as da
Bracelet sizing
Hi everyone I recently picked a 15400 and I've been to trying to get the bracelet right. First I had two links taken out of either side, but felt too tight and was leaving the imprint of the watch on my wrist. So I had one link put back on. it still didn't sit right, so I went to AP in NYC and purchased a link and half. So currently I'm at 4 regular links taken out and the link and a half put in. However it still doesn't sit the way I'd like. Any suggestions? See fit below.
New to AP woes... PR issue
Any fellow forumer currently wearing the AP safari range has issues with the PR?I got it new and after wearing the full day from 10am-11pm.. The PR seems like not really working that strong as specs. Didn't wind it thou.Day 2 : Called up APSC, Was advise to wind 50x before wearing and that should support the PR for 50hrs (+-) then when wearing movement of wrist should power the watch as well.Did exactly told, PR still is like few hours, took off watch ytd at around 8pm. Watch stopped at 6am.. Day 3 : did a manual wind of 55 turns. Timed the PR. Wind at 3.20pm watch stopped at 4.10pm.Moment of truth, will servicing resolve this and will it happen again
First AP arrived today
Finally made it into the AP club today, love the watch, the finish and use of ceramic is sublime!
My new 5167!!!
Hi allI know many of you have been following my story and I am delighted to say it all worked out well. My email reached the directors of Patek and the AD. Not only did they offer me the new lower price, they also added a discount and gave me the first service free. I couldn't argue with that - I am very pleased. Here are some quick pictures including my collection. Thanks for everyone's help - much appreciated. CheersAnujSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
