Girard-Perregaux Unveils Le Corbusier Trilogy of Limited-Edition Watches
La Chaux-de-Fonds, in the Swiss Jura, is regarded as the cradle of fine watchmaking, but it is also the birthplace of Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, known more widely as Le Corbusier, one of the titans of modern architecture and design. Now, Girard-Perregaux, a watch brand based in La Chaux-de-Fonds and long associated with Le Corbusier’s estate, has released a trilogy of watches with designs based on his work. The Girard-Perregaux Le Corbusier Trilogy pays tribute to the three cities most associated with the artist’s career: La Chaux-de-Fonds, where he spent his formative years and trained as a sculptor and engraver at the town’s School of Art; Paris, where he adopted his nom d’artiste and introduced the public to his pioneering furniture designs; and Marseille, where he did his most important late architectural work in his signature medium, reinforced concrete. The model chosen for the three watches each limited to only five pieces is Girard-Perregaux’s V
Audemars Piguet Offshore Las Vegas
Does anyone have any wrist shots of the offshore pvd Las Vegas? I noticed they have been selling at a discount with all the new models and cases. The other model I was considering is the 44mm forged carbon for a little bit more but I have smaller wrists.
Omega 300 GMT
I went to a retailer in Las Vegas looking for this watch in specific. They told me is out of production? Is this true? It is still on their website. If thats the case I better look in the for sale section to see if one pops up!
Ho Ho Ho-Happy Holidays
Finally, after 3 years---it arrives. But it is going back today to be traded for the 45.5mm. Other than that, these are stunning keepers.
Just noticed a price jump for the 5712/1A
So about a year ago I was looking at the Nautilus 5712/1A. It was beautiful watch and I noticed one could get it from a trusted dealer on here for 30K. I thought the price was justified for a beautiful time piece like that and then moved on.Today I decided to go this forms of classified section of this forum and noticed it is being sold by trusted seller for about 54k. I have not been following what is going on in the watch world for about a year now. I was wondering if anyone knew what caused the price jump and when did it happen?I must admit I thought someday I could get that watch, but I am not sure if I can personally justify spending 54k on that watch. I'd probably want to spend that type of money on a Vacheron Constantin or A.lange & sohne.
