Halios Soon To Release Tropik & Delfin Dive Watches
Things are running hard and fast at Halios Watches, who recently teased designs for three upcoming models to be released in 2013. The new models span a smaller diver piece called the Tropik; its bronze-cased sibling the Tropik B; and a larger and more serious diver called the Delfin. This is a big step forward for Halios as they have often produced and launched only a single model at a time (the Laguna was their first watch to see non-limited edition production). These new models look really appealing and all seem to continue Halios' love for less-is-more dial aesthetics matched with practical sport watch design elements. The steel Tropik should be available this coming summer and features a 41mm stainless steel case, a ceramic unidirectional bezel and a domed sapphire crystal with internal AR treatment. Halios is describing the Tropik as their thinnest and dressiest watch to-date and this 300m diver certainly looks really good in the renders and the case prototype shown above. Timekeepi
The Seven Best Watches Of 2015 That You Probably Forgot About
For the past few years, it seems like we've seen a new watch announced every day of the week – doesn't it? It does to us, and we do our best to only show you the finest watches out there – the watches worth knowing about. But we've still seen so many new introductions this year – and some of them have been huge, like Tudor's Black Bay Black, Patek's enamel dialed, split-seconds 5370, AP's new perpetual calendar Royal Oak, JLC's ticking Geophysic, and, of course, Vacheron's 57260, the most complicated watch, ever. But, there have been some absolute gems that came out this year that we've absolutely loved – but that didn't receive much fanfare from the masses, and in some cases, went totally under the radar. Here we'll show you seven watches introduced in 2015 that are absolutely awesome, though you likely forgot about them. 1. The Rotonde De Cartier Chronograph 1 OF 8 What Is It?I say this every tim
Inside Out - The Blancpain Villeret Inverted Movement (Live Photos)
Blancpain has taken their usually quiet Villeret and and turned the volume up with the Inverted Movement. We're used to seeing movements through sapphire case backs, but showing its movement through the front, the Inverted Movement is a different animal entirely. The result is certainly noteworthy, and here are some of our thoughts. There's no denying that this watch is a "statement piece." The design is immediately striking, and at 43mm it is going to get noticed. Essentially what Blancpain has done is flip the movement over so that the large decorated bridges act as the dial. Pretty straightforward actually. 2 OF 12 These bridges have been inlayed with black or white ceramic, are opened around the jewels, and have been both beveled and polished around the edges to create a mixture of textures and colors. You can see in the live photos just how much depth this adds to the appearance of the Inverted Movement. The white gold case back provides a solid backdrop, increasing c

OEM Panerai Accordion Strap on a PAM 25
Hi fellowTRF'ers thinking of swapping out the original rubbered 'Panerai' straps that came with my PAM 25 to the OEM Panerai 'Accordion straps, like those you see on the 305 (different lug measurements I know). Reason being they fit better than the original straps and clasp it comes with (I have a 7.25 wrist) and the clasp is always at the last hole and doesn't sit centre in short, the strap is too short and the next incremental rubber strap Panerai offers is too long. But my question before I go ahead with the purchase is what say you with a PAM 25 on an accordion strap? Would that be legit or sacrilege?
