Hesalite vs. sapphire crystal, help!
I'm adding a speedy to my humble Rolex collection. 3750.50 is a legend and you can clean the scratches off the crystal. But I hear the sapphire crystal is more practical?!
Incoming Restoration Ref 570
I have sent a couple of vintage Patek watches to Geneva for a full restoration. I just got the call that HSWA has one of the two. It's a Ref 570. I give you the before photo today. The watch will be here on Monday, and I'll then give you the after photo.I have been waiting 6 months for this one.Enjoy
How much can the BB Rose be beaten up
Have been wearing my BBN ETA for a month now and while the watch is still in prestine condition I sometimes wonder if it can be beaten up same as the Sub Date which was once my daily watch for more than 10 years. The BB especially its bezel to me seems a bit more delicater than the Sub or I am just over worried? Or perhaps it seems delicate because of its vintage charm that the Sub lacks. Would be interesting to hear your opinions on this.
Explorer II 16570 vs. DateJust Turn-O-Graph 116264
Shopping for my first Rolex and initially these two models weren't even on my radar, I'd been really focused on a vintage 1601/1603 for that classic look. However, the more I've researched and thought about it I'm finding that either of these could be a really great starter piece that I'd probably get more use out of. Considering I'm a youngish guy (mid-30's) I've had multiple people say that a sportier look would be better on me and easier to dress up or down. The 16570 seems to be much more common and appreciated and I like its more toned down look. Meanwhile the 116264 had a more limited production and doesn't get discussed much, but there's something about the sport bezel on the TOG dial with red date wheel and sec hand that gives it a best of both worlds quality that's really appealing. I've also heard the 16570 will likely hold its value better while the 116264 may not since people seem to have a love/hate reaction to it.I could easily flip a coin and be happy with either, but
Bluesy
How long do you guys believe the current bluesy with the ultramarine dial will be available. Is it better to buy used from a trusted seller on the site or new from adSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
