4N MVT-01/D01 Watch Now Available In Titanium
4N is a relatively new watch company that was started in 2009 by Francois Quentin. If you are not familiar with the name, know that Mr. Quentin is one of the main people behind Hautlence - another high-end brand - and he was also responsible for the design of Louis Vuitton's Tambour watches. The MVT-01/D01 was the company's first watch and we have written about it a number of times in the past - most recently in a hands-on article here.?The watch is unique because of the way it displays the time - it uses an all-mechanical 514-part movement to display the time digitally using a series of discs. We first saw the watch in 2010, and it took 4N over three years along with the help of movement specialist Renaud & Papi to finalize and complete the movement design and put the watch into production. 4N had said earlier that the watch would come cased in white gold, platinum and titanium, and the first run of 16 watches were done in in white gold. Now, the company has announced that the next r
Ball Engineer II Ohio GMT COSC Watch
A little retro action from Ball right here. No doubt you are going to start thinking of all the classic watches that Ball looked to for influence when designing the Engineer II Ohio GMT COSC Chronometer watch. A little classically styled Jaeger-LeCoultre aesthetic never hurt anyone. In steel and 40mm wide, the Ohio GMT is a great classy watch with the conveniences you've come to expect from Ball. Yes, you can get an ultra modern looking big watch from them, but they are also starting to be more proud of their simple line of more conventional timepieces. Even when presented with that whole "well it looks like XXXXX," Ball will just retort with "well yea, but we do all the same things that that watch does, in a good quality case for this price." And for about $2,200, the Engineer II Ohio GMT watch is a pretty good deal. With a black or brushed steel dial, the applied Arabic hour numerals are complimented by a full array of tritium gas tube hour markers, as well as applied arrow style meta

5119 - Will it ever be made in a bigger dial?
What do you think? It's my favorite watch on pictures, because I think it's too small in real life. If it was offered in 39mm, or even 38, I would pick it up in a heart beat. And I probably wouldn't buy another watch ever again.Has Patek ever talked about releasing it in a 38 or 39mm size? Do you agree that the current 36mm is too small for a grown man?
