Watch Mods: Dagaz Watch Ltd.
A few weeks ago we posted our first watch mod update with a really nice example of a home modded Seiko SNK.? For those of you not quite brave enough to put your own watch under the knife, there are many options to buy a pre-modded piece or have one of your own watches altered by a professional.? Dagaz Watch Ltd. is one such custom watch, parts and tools seller that makes some really beautiful pieces. So whether you’re in the market for a pressure tester, a new sapphire crystal, custom hands or fully assembled custom watch, Dagaz has you covered.? Most importantly, their watches are really affordable.? One great example of their work is this Seiko SKX007 200m diver.? Maintaining the base Seiko automatic movement and hardlex crystal, Dagaz has added one of their custom all black dials, vintage style hands with lume, silver chapter ring and all black external bezel with lume dot at the 12 position.? The result is clean, tactical and really well conceived.? This custom 007 can be your
Two Tone 'Tudes!!
I am curious about the attitudes towards Rolex two tone watches. Seems like most shy away from them in favor of Stainless. I have one, an older 16013 which I like a lot. This year I'll be picking up a second in the form of a CHNR. Some times I see Rolex TT models selling at ADs for less than their stainless counter parts on the secondary market. I know I could have purchase a TT Daytona for less than my stainless 116500. Baffling to me.
My kind of tool watch
Legible, simple and time-less.
What SS Rolex models can you find at retail?
Curious to see what people can find in their local area or places they have visited recently. For me the Explorer I (almost everywhere), Explorer II (both colors, usually have a black or white if not both), and an Air King (not everywhere but it's not hard to find) are the ones I see. I occasionally see the Deep Sea in Black as well. The blue Milgauss is a bit more uncommon but it can be found but the GV model is pretty much everywhere. The GV doesn't seem to sell all that well as I'll go to the same AD and still see the watch there, while other models rotate as they sell. The Sub was everywhere until fairly recently. I still can't believe that there is a Sub scarcity... Models I've never seen just sitting in an AD are the BLNR, Hulk, SD43 and Daytona (you see the precious metal models everywhere though). Luckily, I've gotten to try all of them as I have a friend who owns a BLNR and another who owns the Hulk. Funny enough, maybe I'm just not paying attention to them, I don't remember s
Tudor Date Window
The date doesn't seem to be perfectly centered in the window of my Tudor Black Bay steel. Anyone else notice an issue with their black Bay steel or their Pelagos?
