There is a new diving watch brand in town. It is not particularly unique or exciting to me, and it looks like the bastard love child of Ocean7 and NauticFish. "Style" copying in the watch world is pretty prevalent as the look of a watch is almost impossible to copyright. The only practical things you can protect from an intellectual property standpoint on a watch are the logo (trademark), and potentially functional elements that you can get a patent on. Of course assuming they satisfy the requirements to be patentable. As for expressive elements like style, it is hard as hell to protect them with copyright as most of it has been done before in some watch at some point.At some point, it seems that NauticFish and Ocean7 met in a seedy tavern already under the influence of too much schnapps, only to hit it off. New here. Looking for info on a used 114060
Hi folks,I'm brand new here. I'd like to buy a preowned 114060 with some character. I'd like an older one where the white on the dial has aged a bit. I love that look. (as most do, I'd imagine)I've read that there are folks who are adding aged parts to high-end fakes in order to fool prospective uninformed buyer like myself. New vs. Pre-owned
Hi everyone, first post here, but long time reader. I've been in the preowned Rolex world for a few years now- started with a TT 80s DJ, built up two more, 14K 1503 Date, then really started things going by collecting Zenith Daytonas. All are gone now, but the other day I walked into my AD to see what was what, and there, placed nonchalantly on the display case while I tried on a WG Daytona oysterflex (more on that later), was a BLNR. I'm a sucker for rare things, from CDs to vehicles to watches, and seeing a HTF Rolex that sells online for higher than MSRP tickled me. It's not that I wanted to buy it and immediately resell, rather the knowledge that I could resell it and not lose any money. I never had a plan to buy new from an AD. I never had a plan to buy a GMT.
