New Face Of The Breitling Aerospace Watch For 2009
Originally released almost two decades ago now, the Breitling Aerospace is a wildly popular model that underwent a series of minor visual updates over the years. The watch has recently sort of been off the radar as Breitling focused on other watches -? especially those mechanical ones with higher profit margins. The turn in the economy has allowed (forced) them to re-shift their focus on some of their more reasonably priced luxury instrument watches. At Baselworld this year they released a brand new Aerospace model (actually two watches that share the Superquartz (thermoline quartz) movement, but only one called the "Aerospace"), what recaptures some of what people loved in the original - but maybe not enough. The functions are the same, and so is most of the appeal, but the design seems to be getting less "professional" and more formal. You'll notice that the new Aerospace has a much more decorated face. The original model had a face that was more bare, but helped to emphasize telling
Ap diver inbound!!!
Hello all, this is my first thread post in the Audemars Piguet section. I just traded up for an AP Diver. This will be my 2nd attempt in the Haute timepiece category, the first being a PP Nautilus 5711which I traded. I just couldn't fall in love with it. I've always been enamored by AP, and I thought the Diver would make a good entry piece into AP, and it should pair well with my DSSD. If I can figure out how to post pictures, I will when it gets here on Wednesday. Thanks all- Jack
Are there any homage watches to Omega?
Ive seen lots of homage watches to rolex like invicta and steinhart. I was wondering if there are any Homage brands to Omega lke for their planet ocean or james bond seamaster?
5711 with a little extra
At a black tie affair for a wedding this weekend. Though some argue the nautilus is a sports watch I think the cuff links dressed it up quite a bit. Sorry for the poor picture quality.
VERSUS: Sea (Deepsea 116660) to Sky (Explorer 1016)
Fourth edition of the VERSUS post/picture. What is VERSUS? Well, I thought it would be fun to compare two watches (and only those two watches) and discuss pros/cons by outlining the differences and getting folks' ideas/thoughts/opinions on TRF. We got folks here that have been collecting and studying these things for decades all the way to those who are just starting to venture into the crazy world of Rolex (and everyone in between). Therefore, it would be fun and educational! For this edition, we have a watch famous for being in the depths of the ocean and a watch famous for reaching the highest peak in the world. A Sea-Dweller Deepsea 116660 and a Explorer 1016.Some obvious things:Modern v. vintage44mm case v. 36 mm caseWhich do you prefer and why?Previous VERSUS:1. VERSUS: Submariner 1680 v. 166102.
