Loving my new Breitling Superocean Steelfish.
I have been on the search for a Breitling Steelfish for a couple of weeks, my regular AD was out on the dial I wanted but another store had it on a strap, my Ad asked me to hold out on the other guy and give him a couple of days, as usual he comes through. found me a Steelfish on bracelet for less than what the other guy was charging for it on leather I wanted an everyday brushed watch that was on the simpler side IE no chrono and with a white or black dial. My choices were between the Omega Seamaster and the Breitling Steelfish for around 1900USD (my limit). Decided to go with the Breitling simply because I like the design better and I did have and sell a Seamaster before.Now that it is on my wrist I dont know why I even considered the Omega. The Breitling blows it away completely!!! Here is what i really love about it:1- Best damn sapphire crystal I have ever seen. I can get a new PO chrono 45mm one for $2900.00 is this a good price?i ask cause i dont want to turn around in a year or two and have a watch that is worht less then a third of what i paid for it. i love the watch though. seems to be a good daily beater.thanks

Sutter's Chicago: no longer "Rolex Authorized Service Center"
This would seem to be a pretty recent change, but I went today and saw a change of signage. Now says Rolex Watch Specialists. I called Rolex in New York, to enquire, and was told that they were still a great place to have a watch fixed, but that it was no longer affiliated with Rolex. I asked about whether Rolex would essentially pick up the service warranty, since there was no connection between Sutters and Rolex related to any future services, and it was implied they would (but with the strong caveat that they could not definitively tell me that without seeing the watch, and confirming that any issue was related to the previous service). So, anyone with issues related to a previous service should probably keep this in mind. I'm sending mine to Rolex for its current issue (even if I'm told that the current issue wouldn't be covered by the service warranty and I'll have to pay for it).
