Would it worth to do it?
Hi Guys,I've been wanting to buy a Platinum 50th year Daytona which I enjoyed wearing very much for the last couple of weeks (borrowed from a friend). I will give my AP Panda for trade and also considering giving my mint AP Grand Prix Carbon for it, which I like very much. Normally I wouldn't want to give it away, but it would also help A LOT for the cost. I'm trying to keep sought-after pieces in my collection, but I'm not really sure if GP Carbon is like that or not.So the question is, would you guys do it?Thank you!Salih
End Links Gap
First of all, myself is an Omega owner, so by no means I'm bashing Omega but wanted to highlight the End Links Gap issue which you might or might not aware yet.My speedy pro is having the gap and it is a NEW piece which I purchased on November 2017.I've browse thru hundred of photos in the net and Instagram and many Speedy having this end links gap problem.Some photos for your reference check yours...
Vintage Omega Seamaster options and values
I am looking for a beater or daily wear Seamaster, probably mid 60's vintage. Prefer the automatic movements, but not completely opposed to a manual wind.Can be date model or not.Smaller case (as seems the norm) 34mm +/-Black/White or silver dial.Stainless case.Original patina/wear and such is fine and actually preferred, I want this as a working daily wear watch. Even mild dial/hand degradation is fine and very light scratching of crystal.Fleabay has a ton of them in all conditions and prices, is there a GOOD guide to them and a rough idea on values. They seem to vary all over.What models/movements do you recommend and examples The Deville is a fine looking model, are there others in the same style vein?I am more familiar with vintage Rolex, all my current Omegas are of new purchase (Seamaster AT 2500. Seamaster Pro 300m, and Speedy Pro)Thanks guys
Brand new datejust 36 issue
Guys, am new to rolex and has just bought a brand new datejust off the AD. I came back home and took out of box. Watch was dead and i wound around 20 times and still the watch didnt started ticking just like my seiko or eta automatic. I had to move /tickle the watch to make it start. I let the power run down and then tried again, still the same. Example in my seiko i wind the crown 3-4 times and it starts ticking while this datejust takes atleast 30 + windings to start. Is this normal? If not what should i do? I have spent a lot to satiafy my desire and this makes me a bit nervous. Thanks guys
Tudor vs Omega... Rolex Lume?
Couple of questions... would you pick up a Tudor Pelagos or an Omega say Planet Ocean or Seamaster... Bonus Question... anyone think Rolex will add lume to the bezel like Tudor does with the Pelagos????
