Mondaine’s New Watches for Fall
Mondaine, the Official Swiss Railways Watch and one of the more affordable Swiss watch brands on the market today, unveils their new timepieces for fall. Two new Retro Chic models debut, one for ladies and one for men. Mondaine also offers two new square watches in larger and smaller sizes, and with brushed or polished finishes. The new 28mm ladies Retro Chic has a curved sapphire crystal with an integrated leather strap in one of Mondaine’s signature colors: red. The larger Retro Chic measures in at 40mm and is available with either a black leather strap or a bracelet that recalls days gone by. All Retro Chic watches are water resistant to 10 ATM. The MSRP is $275 for leather strap and $355 for metal bracelet version. The ladies version is pictured below. The larger model adds a day of the week display at six o’clock. the new Breitling watch is teamed with Barenia or crocodile leather straps
Endowed with four ultra-powerful "turbo-compound" engines, the Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation is one of the brightest symbols of the sky conquest. It impresses greatly by its dolphin-like curved fuselage and triple-tail design. This propeller-driven long-haul plane dominated civil aviation in the 1950s and earned its fame as the "King of the Atlantic". Offered in a limited edition of 1049 pieces, the new Breitling watch is teamed with Barenia or crocodile leather straps. It can be also accessorized with Navitimer or Air Racer bracelets.
VIDEO: Swatch Creative Director Carlo Giordanetti Presents The Spring/Summer 2014 Collections
There's no denying that Swatch is one of the most important ambassadors for wristwatches to the general public. Whether you're a serious collector or someone who's never worn a wristwatch, you know Swatch. We sat down with Swatch Creative Director Carlo Giordanetti to talk about both Swatch's current offerings and it's greater place in the world of watchmaking. Sure, the purists might say that a quartz watch is a quartz watch, but that would be to miss the point of Swatch entirely. 1 OF 4 Giordanetti first joined Swatch back in 1987 and served for ten years (with a short break from 1992-1995) in a variety of roles. After another hiatus, he returned in 2012 to take the reins as creative director. Speaking with Giordanetti, it's difficult to keep the word "dreamer" out of your thoughts C and we mean this in only the best ways possible. It takes a certain personality to truly believe that colorful plastic wristwatches can make an impact on not just the people who wear them b
Clicking Clasp - Oyster Bracelet
Hi All,I recently purchased a 114200 oyster perpetual with blue dial. It's a gorgeous watch and I'm loving it so far, however I've noticed that the clasp clicks when I press down on it. Obviously not a major issue but in my mind a 3.5k watch probably shouldn't be doing this! Here's a video of another person with the exact same issue:Hope someone can help.Thanks.
Finally interested in a Daytona.....
I have noticed that especially over the past couple of weeks, it seems like there is a Daytona in my face, every post I check. I guess it is growing on me, and now I'm presented with the opportunity to pick up a SS 116520 white dial. I've read countless articles, but can't really get a good idea on value. I only buy if I love the item and if it is a great price, not a steal, but a good value. I'm having a hard time getting a consistent number. Can someone help me out?? What is a great price on a SS Daytona? Any other Daytona tidbits are helpful too.
