TAG Heuer’s new integrated mechanical chronograph movement, Caliber 1969, is now being produced at the recently finished fourth TAG Heuer factory, in Chevenez in the Swiss Jura. I take you inside the brand-new facility, and examine the details of the new in-house movement, in this article from my blog, Watch-Insider.In 2009, TAG Heuer launched Caliber 1887, based �� as you may know by now �� on an old Seiko chronograph movement (and made its debut in the TAG Heuer Carrera 1887; click here for WatchTime’s test of that watch). It had been partially re-engineered by TAG Heuer and then produced by TAG in Switzerland. The integrated, self-winding, column-wheel chronograph movement is outfitted with a contemporary version of the brand's 1887-patented oscillating pinion. H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Tourbillon Watch
Have you ever noticed how fickle your own tastes can be? I don't like to admit it; I like to think of myself as a very decisive and principled guy, but sometimes my own volatility amazes me. The new H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Tourbillon didn't grab me at first. I thought it was fine �C a solid design with some admirably artisanal features (check out that delicious fum�� dial) �C but it did not blow my socks off. Not even a DLC coated titanium case that makes what should be a classic design somehow contemporary won me over. No, the thing that got me excited was a hidden hand. Why does the AP ROC not have a display case-back!?!
It baffles me that AP decided not to put a transparent sapphire/display caseback on the AP ROC to show off it's beautiful movement. They did it on the Royal Oak.....why not the chronograph......??? It's almost a deal-breaker for me, if I have to choose between the normal RO and the ROC.Additionally, could we install the case-back of the RO onto the ROC if we wanted to?

Regulation only?
Just got my speedmaster pro with cal 861 back from service done at an AD. After a couple of weeks the movement started to lose time, when I got it back from service it was gaining 2-3 sec/24h no matter of posistion. Now it��s losing time when at wrist, from 5-15 sec/.24h. Returned it to my AD and he told me after some measurements that it was running slow, but aplitude was just fine. After some regulation i was promised an accurate speedmaster. However, it��s still losing time! I made some measurements of my own and dial up is -6 sec/24h, dial down +4 sec/24h and crown up -4 sec/24h. All measurenets with fully wound mainspring. So, my question. Is this norma deviation after a complete service?
