Anonimo Watches: A Rebirth In Florence, Italy
The birth - or occasional rebirth - of a company is always a noteworthy phenomenon in the galaxy of watch making.?It is so because it either grants us the chance to follow the formation of a new star that will shine on for decades or even centuries to come or the sight of a falling star, something that only temporarily existed and barely left anything significant behind. What we have now is the rare opportunity to take a closer look at the earliest stages of a watch brand's revival as I was among those invited by Anonimo to visit them in the beautiful Italian town of Florence. We gathered to discover and to discuss their plans for the future and also to?see where and how they will have their trademark brass cases manufactured. Those familiar with the brand will know that the creation of Anonimo in 1997 already meant a second chance, a new beginning in itself. It happened that year that Officine Panerai (which was also based in Florence at the time) was purchased by the Vendome Group of
Features of Marc Jacobs Watch Collection Reviewed
Other luxury watches have been released since then. For example, monitoring has a strip of leather genuine alligator, and housing and face are set 128 diamond. For fashion fall 2006 season, the designer began a line of less expensive watches under the label of Marc by Marc Jacobs. These watches are eccentric chic design and more diverse in the options of the wear as the high range collection. The drawings are as traditional styles watch, pendants necklace, or as style bracelets. Traditional styles have simple and elegant faces bands, most is from metal or leather. Sometimes bright and original drawings are used in the necklace and bracelet styles. A very eccentric design is the skull of Sidney wristwatch. A satirical skull enamel plate covers the movement of face. Two holes in the plate of allowing the numbers to see: a hole in the left eye for the minutes and a hole in the nose for the time being.
DSLR Shots of my AP Royal Oak Jumbo 15202
As usual, my most beautiful timepiece gets the royal DSLR shot treatment. What it means? Well, vast majority of my watch pics are taken using my trusty Samsung Galaxy Smartphone. Just point and shoot and the pics most of the time they turn out very nice. So there is really no need to dust off my big and clumsy Nikon. Right? Just see the Jumbo Appreciation thread! Actually, it's because I am lazy and I can't be bothered to whip out my Nikon D5100 DSLR, setup my tripod and adjust all the settings etc to get the perfect shot. However, one thing a camera phone can't do is to duplicate a DSLR camera in capturing all the tiny details that make our watches special. Especially under a macro lens like my Nikkor 105mm. So a serious photo shoot still calls for me to bring out my best camera. I finally found the energy and time today to do that again in a rainy Saturday afternoon here. So it here goes, the Jumbo 15202 40th anniversary edition. Background. The original Royal Oak 5402 Jumbo was fir
Brand new Patek 5980/1AR that was not winding.
Being actively on this forum, I have realised an alarming number of quality control issues with Patek. Two days ago as I was in Frankfurt, I went to visit my friend that works at a watch store (Bucherer).I saw for the first time the 5980/1AR - two tone. A beautiful shade of blue, and a stunning watch.I tried to wind it, and it would not work. My friend was quite embarrassed at having a piece in the store of that category in that price range that had such an issue. They got in the guy that had the expertise with PP, and he said we need to send it back to get it checked. As much as I love the brand, appreciate their history, and also own a 5711, I can't help but feel because of these things that have been happening much more often than in the past, that I am being forced to look else where when I am going to purchase my first complicated dress watch.I know it doesn't happen often, but I feel like it is being more frequent than in the past.I didnt make this thread in means to disrespect the
Cellini Chrono
Just been looking at rolexpassionreport and saw this mock-up of a Cellini Dual time chrono. I really like the Cellini and have been tempted but not able to pull the trigger, as I'm more of a sports-watch person. But if Rolex launch something like this, I won't hesitate!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
