40th anniversary moonwatch
Hi I am an omega nut, I have 3 at the moment. 1 planet ocean, 1 planet ocean chrono with the orange bezel and I just picked up my new (for Christmas present ) gold/s/s broad arrow speedmaster with brown dial and gold accents. My question is this:-for my next Omega I am considering the 40th anniversary moonwatch. Do you think that this Speedmaster special edition watch is a good investment at ��3500. (I can get 10% discount of this price) do you think it will increase in value at all over the years? Any thoughts welcome about this watch. Thanks and happy and holidays everyone.

Hey guys as I do during most business trips I seek out local Rolex/Patek ADs to have a look around and to kill time while away from home. Well my latest trip had me in China for 10 days and specifically in Shanghai this past weekend with a free Saturday afternoon...having recently picked up my 5167 I searched for any local Patek dealers to tour and research my next purchase. Oh boy did I get a surprise when the Maison Shanghai was within walking distance from my hotel. i secured this piece about a year ago whilst on holiday in singapore and its sat at the panerai boutique for 8 months awaiting for me to collect it. The branch manager told me that this was the last piece to come off the panerai factory(not sure if thats true)On another note ive been told that this boutique does a million dollars of business every month just on straps alone which i find rather gobsmacking

Getting Service From a Different Dealer
Still waiting for my boat to come in with my first watch (BLNR) but I was curious about service and warranty work. If I end up finding a watch outside my area such as on vacation, etc and I buy it, do I simply use my local ad for service and warranty work? What if I was to buy a watch in Europe let's say and two weeks later it stops working when I'm back home?I can't see where my local ad would be happy to help me with a watch I purchased somewhere else. Is this a known issue or are they treated like car warranties where your expected to take it to any authorized dealer?Hopefully I'll end up buying locally and this won't be an issue but you never know.
